im not talking about how big it is,, coz im also not a big fan of big robot toys that will eat more space.. i actually dont even like the current size of madtoys and toynami voltrons coz their size look out of place when displayed with the standard SOC lineup.. i dont even care if its plastic or not hehehe.. as long as its faithful like Bandai does. what im saying is Toynami are in the right track with this prototype.. in terms of choosing a single type of design.. which is a stylized voltron. if youre looking for true, ledgit, no alterations, no nonsense Voltron.. wait for Bandai. how long is the wait? well.. thats another story hehehe.. There might be a big chance that HL Pro will release all items that they promoted so far, and then release a new set of toys before Bandai ever gets the Voltron license. HL Pro??? they cant even release a simple non-transforming, non-combining, 3 year-old prototype Gattaiger... (i dont consider docking with spazer as combining ala voltron)

Exactly my sentiments Moleman. That's why I said Madtoys' after sales service sucks. To send 25 emails to get them going? What kind of joker are they? Well, I've heeded your advice and sent him a few more emails just to get his "attention" ? Yup. if you bought from them directly they should be providing you replacement parts. To their credit, they did follow through and send me replacement parts. However, this should have been a much simpler operation. I send an email about which parts I need, show photo evidence and then proceed to wait for either an update or a shipping notice. I wish you luck and I hope you get your parts. Hi all, Finally got Tony's (Madtoys) attention. Still his non-commital reply upsets me. Hopefully, others don't experience this kind of "beating around the bush" reply from him. Sent him a few more emails. We'll see if this goes down as another VV fiasco. On the bright side (for Miracle Productions), Miracle on their part delivered (albeit late) by sending replacement parts to RJ board members. Yes, I'm one of those who received replacement parts from Miracle. A simple email and photo attached is all it took for Miracle to take action and correct the mistake they made. I applaud Miracle for that kind of effort made to paying customers like us.

Its box however says © 2014. Got mine from toyercity.com Update: Golion is formed and the figure is... PERFECT! Cheers 'n roars!

I have 3 of these two from the first batch and one from the new batch. I also have a replacement red and yellow lion. All three have had issues the red lions mount broke on the first one the second one the red lions head wouldn't lock and the new batch yellow lion won't hold in place. It took some time to get my replacement parts and I even bought a third one hoping that would speed up the process of getting my replacements. This figure still is my favorite and I hold it and pose it daily still but there is a lot of room for improvements and I really hope makes some parts. The biggest issue is the difficulty in repairing the figure. When The Red Lions Head Would Lock In Place I Had To Pull The Lion apart. This damaged paint and the plastic cover over the screw. I realized the joint was metal and would have been better placed backwards but I didn't try to do that but it would serve it's purpose better if it rotated at the rear. Pulling the lion a parts was very scary. I thought for sure I was going to break something. I would love to see the red and green made out of machined aluminum instead of plastic. I may have the machin shop next door make a few for me if I get around to doing a custom one to look like the popy original. I'd like to see these in. Vintage style box with home elbows joints and missles. We need a missle set badly. Is anyone making these yet?

Despite all the dilemma I'm going through with Tony of Madtoys. I still say this is a good product. No doubt about it. I give Madtoys credit for their effort in creating a new rendition of Voltron. Sad thing that this is mired with various QA/QC issues. As any other toy collector we all take the risk and hope we get a nearly perfect item if not perfect at all. Sad to say, Madtoys' QA/QC is one of the worst I've seen. They've assembled components wrongly (paws/ claws connected to limbs upside down!) and managed to go through their assembly line? What is their QA/QC guy doing? After sales service - Madtoys, does this word even ring a bell to you?
I'm not a fussy collector. Paint chips/ smudges I can live with that. Tight/ loose joints I can still take it. But assembled wrongly, packed and sent to distributors to sell to end buyers like us? Hmm...
Tony of Madtoys, if you're reading this I hope you improve on your next project after lion voltron. I've sent you several emails but your response is really not customer oriented. This toy collecting business is one that purely thrives on how good your product is and how you respond to after sales issues.
To be fair with Madtoys, oversight is given in QA/QC during toy production. That's why we have after sales service to rectify this "mistake" during production. It is with MADTOYS' after sales service which I am truly pissed off, not on the product itself. I may be the only one who is vocal with how displeased I am with their after sales service. They simply ignore the fact that their product came out of the factory with defect and sent to toy collectors like us.
To those who got a nearly perfect toy, congratulations. To those who are in the same boat as I am, I hope you your replacement from Madtoys. To those who are planning to get this item in the near future - good luck to you guys. You'll definitely need it.

I am still waiting for my 4 replacement lions from a single figure... The package is in route and mailed on Feb. 13 and no additional info on the tracking except that went through a sort facility in Hong Kong two days later. And yes I had to use strong words to finally get attention. I started this whole process around the first week of December.
I hope the package finally show up this coming week.

Well, you guys are lucky with your dealings with MADTOYS Tony. Happy to know that your issues with your items were resolved.
As for me, I got one reply from him last month and THE REST OF MY NUMEROUS EMAILS were simply ignored by Tony until now.

Toyercity took care of me but the third one I bought and it had a problem as well and I never got a response from kelvin. I wasn't asking for a part yet just any suggestion as to a way to fix it myself. I'm sure the distributors are having to deal with their manufacturers problem as well and not getting responses. Sounds so familiar and I remember Mr toy f reaks mentioning the possible release of go lion by mp. Does he have a hand in this still and we just don't know it. How funny would it be if he is behind both releases. I definitely spike with him but I wonder if he really was who he said
