I know you guys won't agree but the reason I'm not getting this is to me it ruins the look of the robot to add a big garish orange hammer to him. I don't watch the show and bought the toy on pure engineering...maybe that's why I can't relate? But it looks like a fisher price child's plastic hammer to a layman.i mean in a million years if you didn't watch the show would you think that hammer belonged with ggg? It's probly since I don't watch the show that if looks so wrong to me

I'm just more concern with whether or not GGG can hold the hammer without a support stand. Seems like every pic I've seen thus far requires a stand of some sort to keep it upright.

Judging by the proportions, I am pretty sure you require a stand for the hammer, but better be safe than sorry. not all SOCs can survive a shelf dive. Well you know what they say, the bigger they are, the harder they will fall.

From the lower left I think he can hold it without stand.............................................. at least a few second.

Also why do they fall mecha mecha ? If your posing them solidly they should never fall... Or is it earthquakes? Or accidentally bumping your shelf? I'm curious?

Or is it earthquakes? Or accidentally bumping your shelf? I'm curious? Mine's enclosed shelves, but somehow, every once in a while, some of my SOCs fall! Probably due to loosening joints (over time?) or perhaps over adventurous pose, i am not really sure. On other occasions i simply bump into them while trying to rearrange my stuff. The last dive i experienced was my SOC Gunbuster, just fell onto the same deck, but bad enough to totally broke off a front panel (the one that covers up the pair of guns or whatever you call them at the arm) I own the SRC GGG along with the hammer and i remember i had a tough time posing it because of the sheer weight of the hammer and the jet pack (?) behind GGG. If this is anything to go by, i am anticipating a challenge combining both GX-69 and GX-68. I will definitely not hesistate to use a stand if i encounter any problems. Better be safe than sorry

^Mecha, I think it's called the Collider or Double Collider when Gunbuster uses the ones in the arms and legs at the same time.

Good video showing transformation and attachment to GGG.

i have mixed feelings about goldymarg after seeing this video. I really really hoped GGG could support his weight alone without the stand but i'm guessing that's highly unlikely given the weight of the bot.

Looks like there's more plastic then diecast in the video.

Looks like there's more plastic then diecast in the video. great point. it looks externally to be all plastic. and did you see the arm just completely drop on its own when connected to GGG? so you absolutely NEED the stand. on my src GGG he grips the hammer so closely that it can use the handle as support. too bad it's not seeming like the case here.

GGG is one of the most manly shows in existence that is really so much better than it needed to be for a toy commercial. The reason it's made up of those vehicles is because they are actually the closest substitutes for the Genesic Machines that are all animals to go along with Galleon - Trains for the Shark/Dolphin, Drill Tanks for the Moles and a Bomber for the Bird of Prey. At least watch the Goldion Hammer sequence:

Couldn't agree more. If you can appreciate 70s & 80s super robot shows, its hard to believe you can't appreciate the GGGs. It is indeed one of the most hotblooded robot anime around, especially GGG Final. Even tons of the remakes of a Go Nagai's classics failed to capture what this show did right. Give this show a chance with an open mind.

I liked GGG Final more than the regular anime series. Pretty awesome indeed. It was so good that, even when I hate giant sentient Transformer-type robots, I still loved the show.
Now, I think the main bad-guys designs in the regular anime were pretty ridiculous thou. I can deal with the funky-looking/crazy good-guys, because they are there as the comedy sidekicks, but the main bad guys were just too weird, in a funny looking way, for me to take seriously.

I'm usually a fan of the classic robot animes from the '70s and early '80s, but I was Very impressed with GGG Final.
When I look at things such as this Goldion Hammer accessory, how huge it seems for the GGG figure, I interpret it as a nice compliment to show the brute strength and power of GGG handling such a large weapon the way he does in the anime. It's been many years that I haven't seen something particular like that since the Jeeg series.
