Can you buy this anywhere now? eBay and if you do a Google, some vendors still have it up for preorder. I'm sure another wave will be incoming given the positive reviews. I'll try to score one then.

It would be dumb not to do a reissue! This doesnt really fit into any category really..its like its own type of thing. I cant really say, oh its like this so and so figure. Its plastic and tall but its got metal parts sort of like...um...I dont know? What can this be compared to? I would buy anything they release in this robot line if they continue to make it this good Can you buy this anywhere now? eBay and if you do a Google, some vendors still have it up for preorder. again, a gold standard in video review. thank you.
more and more i watch other video reviews, i really appreciate all the time consuming work to make the review so concise. the irony is not lost on me.... easy to understand and entertaining, thats lot of hard work.

Great review Chachi. You are clearly enjoying this one. I'm not sure the transformation would have added much. Doesn't this guy basically turn into a building? I mean not much happening there. "Look the blocky robot gets BLOCKIER!". I might have preferred a few more accessories or features, but that's largely because I am a gimmick sleeper.

he has what looks like dagwood sandwich or flight of stairs as his head crest. tip of his feet is much rounder then 17.
i wish i was clever enough to put up a link using ipad but if you goto toysdaily there is a article on him. look for world scope.

You know, Im glad some viewers can appreciate the work that goes into it. Its not just hey lets sit down and record and put it on youtube. Most busy reviewers do this late at night after kids go to sleep and still need to maintain enthusiasm while shooting. Trimming 30 plus minutes of video into less than 10. Then comes editing...then reshooting if you forgot something...then back to editing. Then waiting and waiting on a render haha. But you know what? I love doing what I do. As long as you guys are enjoying it, I will do it! again, a gold standard in video review. thank you. more and more i watch other video reviews, i really appreciate all the time consuming work to make the review so concise. the irony is not lost on me.... easy to understand and entertaining, thats lot of hard work.

Great thanks! I'll save some pennies for this incoming toy then given how great the 17 is. And here's hoping the 17 is reissued or another Production run is done.

Great review, Chachipower. Got me hunt down one for myself. Digging around Toysdaily threads on this Daitetsujin 17 realized that they pointed out this World Scope figure is licensed, while the other upcoming Imagine transforming one is not (indeed has LED light gimmicks, at least on the 18). And when I looked at the promo poster, its true that Imagine's doesn't have the official logo and the "Ishinomori Pro" labeling. Also, came across a Japanese youtube video reviewing the upcoming Imagine gokin Daitetsujin 18, sample was sent from a HK toy source. Here is the video review:
Wonder if Imagine is a HK base 3rd Party company, similar the the 3rd Party TF stuff. At least World Scope has a Japanese website & address. Just very curious what these seemingly new companies are and where they are from. While smaller, the quality from Imagine may not be half bad based on their 18 sample in this video review (though folks from HK that bought it have super dark weathering). But we have yet seen a real image of the prototype 17, with the ad poster just using a CG render. And seems like World Scope just released a sleeper hit with this very poseable Daitetsujin 17, as it is sold out in all major Japanese online shops, and got very good praises from collectors from HK and here. Can't wait to get my hands on it.
P.S. Chachipower's review missed the extendable waist joint, which allows the torso to be lifted up and bend forward/backward, eliminating the issue of the back silver piece getting in the way of rotating the waist.
