For anyone who doesn't own the gatchaspartan yet, it doesn't do much but it is amazing. One of my first modern toy purchases (I'm mainly a vintage collector) and I absolutely do not regret it. And it's huge and heavy when combined, just unpacking it was amazing.

Has anyone ever sold anything on this board? In years of membership, I don't think I've sold a single item. Depressing.

I actually have sold just a few things and I have bought stuff from members. But it was all vintage stuff.

Has anyone ever sold anything on this board? In years of membership, I don't think I've sold a single item. Depressing. I think that judging by the various feedback threads, many people have successfully sold their figures, myself included. It's just that many of us are very well aware of what the market prices of something are and know what makes a good price to buy/sell an item. If you really want your stuff to sell, just make it cheaper.

My stuff is usually way cheaper than anything on Ebay. American buyers are just incredibly f**king cheap.

I'm honestly surprised on the Yamato/macross stuff. Regardless of where you sell it that stuff usually moves.
The gatcha Spartan is a more unique piece. Unless you really want it or really like diecast it might not be big with a lot of people. As I've said many times, I love mine and you can't appreciate the size and quality until you see if in person. Maybe post a pic of a common toy like a figuarts or transformer next to the combined Spartan to help give a sense of scale.
The DX9 is a great toy, but as a TF fan, I don't see many TF fans here, at least ones that buy third party or haven't bought the piece already.
Overall, any forums can be tough, I had a terrible experience on another forum where I wanted to sell a toy for retail plus tax (what I paid) plus shipping (large item). It was selling for $70 more than retail (shipped) on eBay, my asking price with shipping was $60 less. It took a month to sell and had to fend off numerous tire kickers, even though the piece was sold out everywhere.

And if you are shipping to US from another country, added shipping cost is a big factor that stops buyers from purchasing - it's not a turn off, but it's a factor. We know the shipping hurts both the buyer and seller.

My stuff is usually way cheaper than anything on Ebay. American buyers are just incredibly f**king cheap. Ebay is usually not where I look or sell my items. Typically, if the item has a forum or community to it, like Macross World or TFW2005, it tends to sell much better and quicker. For your Macross items, I'm pretty sure some people would be interested at Macross World. I feel your pain. It's tough to find the right target audience. As a matter of fact, I saw some poor guy having to sell his new Metal Build Destiny Gundam (a toy that goes for $300+ these days) for only $100 on the 4chan BST thread on /toy/ because no one wanted it on there for months. I've gotten quite a few insane cheap deals like that before with other sellers on other sites, but I've also had to price many of my own items dirt cheap just to sell them too at times, so I've seen both ends of the stick.

My stuff is already listed on MW, but all I get are PMs for lowballers or people who back out at the last minute for obviously made up reasons.
As for shipping, shipping from Canada to USA is likely cheaper than Japan/Asia to USA, and they do buy from there. It's like they're expecting next day free shipping when it comes from Canada. I don't get it. Or they don't.
Anyway, reduced pricing on some of the items.
