Looks like it's roughly Shin Getter one sized. Here's the translated Manga. Only goes up to Aug 2012. Doesn't look like it's complete/finished yet. Ken Ishikawa, the author, bit the dust in 2006. We'll never see the end of the Getter Saga, we just know that Getter Robo Ah was going to be the final entry in the series. And yes, it should be roughly the size of Shin Getter 1. Shin Getter was the prototype for Getter Ark after all, the two being the same height is understandable.

So at 23cm or around 9" tall you won't find to many Getters in that range. Maybe the Aoshima and SOC figures come close but the styles will be hugely different.

I somehow don't see that base being included with the figures. Seems kinda too small? Gold its small alright. but i still hope they include an appropriate base.

as you guys broaden your collection you will learn bases only take up much needed space,i use them on som small SOC but thats it.

i guess its how ull plan to display your figures Baron. Ive seen full chogokin collections with or without bases, those ones with it looks real neat. and i love those name plates... its kinda one less explaining to do if u have not-fan visitors coming in ur house hehehe.. Im not type who likes to pose figures, i like them straight stiff, side by side. So i think its best served with a base stand. i also have some figures prone to falling, so the base with support stands is needed.

Those are all great ideas and very much true but in my case I have a whole 7 detolfs and don't have near enough room for all the bases. When you get to 100 plus gokins you need to be choosy on what stands you use if any.check my collection out in link below you can see the ones I chose to use mostly the smaller Soc like Mazingers and getters the type of stands that only hold weapons and not the figure are useless to me and take up stupid space

hehehe.. actually ive seen your detolf displays Baron.. i know what u mean.. 7 detolf's.. thats a lot. Due to the given dimension of a detolf.. more likely that will end up displaying 2 to 3 rows of display in each window.. so those display stands at last two rows wont be as much noticeable as those in the front. In this case u need a custom step/ ladder stands... not including those much larger gokins. Having that much gokins it will take a lot of wall space alright.. well i dont buy multiple representations of the same character, so im quite sure it wont to go to close than a couple of hundred pcs lol... (actually 90.. from tetsujin to Knight & lamune) In my case, i might need a custom made narrow shelf. if it comes to fruition.. will probably look like this.. (credits to whom it may concern/ owner).. it will be displayed in chronological timeline.. from the earliest to the last.. so this type of display is the way to go.

man, that dragon thing proportion looks much much better too... very close to an ideal proportion of what you see on actual the screen. its perfect now, excellent.
a constructive suggestion from a failed insustrial designer and a super robot super nerd.
on the main getter Robot though, if the head was a tad smaller and the forarms were bit shorter itd be perfect, imho ofcourse. One way to really tell if the proportion looks good or not is to squint your eyes then look at a very small thumbnail of the full length pics. then have a fanatic look at it after a rough 2d adjustment as a second opinion if possible. very busy Josh at Collection DX comes to mind, im sure hed be happy to help.

They were very active on their Facebook page. Even someone posted there the suggestion that I posted here about having tail and neck extention parts for that space dragon.

Looks like sum1 from BU is reading this thread.. and heard your suggestions guys.. theyve included a mini Shin G Dragon... Thought it was a missed opportunity on Shin Dragon with the less ideal sculpt and disproportionate dragon mode. However, with this recent improvement, I'll have to seriously consider this. I care more for the mini Dragon humanoid body than the full body diecast figure, to be honest. Hope the mini version is poseable, and the long dragon it sits on will have some diecast. This is getting more interesting.

I would suggest to them tgat they should just include a fixed posed Gashapon sized/style figure to stick inside the dragon if more accuracy is wanted. Owners can still use the regular sized Getter inside the dragon if they wish, but a cheap option like the mini Getter would be most welcome. }D LOL...and that was me. }D

Well this seems much better now, you basically get manga/daikensen shin dragon along with ova shin dragon. Provided the minature getter robo has the basic articulation and accessories you'd expect it'll be everything you could probably want from a figure of this design, outside of something crazy like parts to turn it into shin posidon and shin liger.
