The face also looks to be die cast. But, yeah, I don't expect it to be as massive as Kitty though.

The review says mostly the big white parts are diecast (including the face & main body), as far as I can tell. That's not bad, not bad at all.

Great review. 40% die cast is a surprise.

40% diecast?
*giggles with anticipation*
Seriously though, I can't believe I'm actually looking forward to this one. Not much diecast heavy toys coming out nowadays...

Just ordered from CDjapan. I hope they come through. 1st time ordering from them. This will go well with Chogokin Hello Kitty and Doraemon.

One vote for CD Japan. This is one of my favourite online shop. They pack well and reliable.

Same here. CDJapan is very good. I usually order books or Blurays there for quite a few years now. But they have slowly expanded their Hobby section that you can get quite a bit of good deals there, rivaling amiami prices at times (though their discounts are much more random), but with cheaper shipping if you buy small pieces. My wife's diecast My Melody is indeed coming from them.

MM is kinda disappointing. Quite significantly less metal/diecast content and no leg articulation compared to HK. Still kewt, tho...

Yes, a little lighter but they made up with the belly cockpit, visor and pop up cockpit gimmicks.

Look like quite a bit of engineering went into the making of this chogokin, huh? Nicely done Bandai. Even though I'm not interested in the figure myself.
Good job Gold, thanks for the review.

Thanks Mechanical Flesh. Yeah, I was totally surprised by the gimmick I wasn't expecting any real engineering in the figure and it would be the same as Hello Kitty. Gold

Looks like another cute little brick. It would look good next to my Panda-Z and Hello Kitty Chogokins, but I think I'll just wait for the Getter Robo repaint.
Unless I can get this one for cheap... which will most likely happen.

Does anyone know the purpose of the metal pins at the elbow?
