Great write-up Gold, as always. This thing is so massive and heavy, it is worthy of the "King" in its name. Way more massive and wider than any previous SOCs. I got similar issues with the boosters. Tricky to put on, and the bottom pieces are slightly loose, but not too bad. Could have been more secure if they have more than just the tiny pegs holding the pieces together.

Good review, Gold. Very glad I skipped this.

Yeah.
This was definitely made for the most hard core of Gaogaigar or Brave Series fans. I personally payed over $300 for this on BigBadToyStore and I cannot say I really regret it as I enjoy having this huge lug on my display.
I personally realized my SoC Star Gaogaigar would look better in a more dynamic pose with just the Goldion Hammer as opposed to the one shown in many photos of this release with the Goldion Hammer on one arm and Gatling Driver in the other. Those ratchets at the leg section of the base SoC are very well made and have been able to keep it aloft with little issue.
The arms are rather tricky as their ratchets are nowhere near as tight for the legs though I cannot complain. This set definitely has some fans but is not for everyone. Big O special add-on set, anyone?

I never use the Drivers together with the Hammer as a display, way too clunky. Either Hammer on one arm and a fully poseable hand on the left, or no Hammer at all. With the stand the Star Parts set came with, supporting all the weight, it makes it quite fun to pose the arms and fingers doing different things, and no need to worry about balance issues. Its Star GGG. He is meant to fly in space in a flying pose anyway

Thanks Ozma, yeah the faulty connector on the Gatling Driver is very annoying. I tried swapping the "driver" handles with the Dividing Driver and it still wouldn't connect. Thanks Mpchi. I think they could've made the connections for the pieces of the engine more secure if they were designed as flat tabs as opposed to simple small "pin" pegs? Not sure if that would make them more difficult to swap in and out though. Thanks Kumastyle. I agree getting the whole Star GGG set + Hammer together is not for everyone. The price can be a huge turnoff and the final result putting down all that cash for it, while looks big and impressive, is very hard to pose properly. The non-transforming SRC version definitely wins in terms of playablity/fun factor. Gold

Yea. The cash definitely isn't a problem but the lack of poseability is. If I wanted a statue, I'd something like a koto super detailed piece in a sick pose rather than a plastic figure that is stuck in a pose like a popy toy. It's a first to truly say that I like the SRC version of something over an SOC, but it the SRC kills this in terms of how it handles the add ons. Again; fantastic overview.

I can only imagine somewhere down the line say 5 or 10 years now we get news of Gaogaigar Final SoC.
A lot of people really would love the Gaofighgar as an entry and as for me, I would like to see a Genesic Gaogaigar and pretend my SoC Goldymarg is the Goldion Crusher.

I would love a SoC GaoFighGar, if only to see how Bandai pulls off turning Gaofar's shoulder thrusters into GFG's chest, cause it looks horrible on all existing GFG that can transform.

You mean like how those shoulder plates only really transform by using a stem of sorts attached to a ball joint in each end? Yeah, I do wonder what changes from the CMs version will be made for the SoC release outside of making it more secure, poseable or solid.

If they ever make a SOC Genesic and a matching Goldion Crusher to go for it, that would be insane! Gold
