his name is god mazinger, and is a giant rock statue protector that absorbs a human for a pilot like raideen does, there is no control ship, and he then becomes a metal robot you see in that figure and fights dinosaurs. in the manga he stayed a rock robot instead.

not familiar with this character. but it looks nothing like any mazinger ive ever seen. because its not related to Kouji world or any Mazinger you know also the story is completely far from what you are used to in Mazinger shows in here God Mazinger is basically a giant statue and he get his power from a boy called Yamato (not the space battle ship lol), just like Astroganger and Kentaro the anime is about 23 episode long, its good if you have time to watch it also worth to mention there was an original concept for a another God Mazinger that piloted by Kouji to take down the final boss in Great Mazinger but for some reason the project didn't see the light and we got Grendizer instead lol i guess the production on this guy is deepening on Astronganger success

Check thier Facebook and the rep is saying. They always consider making it. That it is just a "stand"(?) from few years ago? One guys urged him to make it as gokin but the rep is saying not yet.....(?)
Then i beg the question...why show it at all? You know, All of a sudden...right before the release of thier biggest release, Astroganger.
Perhaps , they are gauging the response from collectors about their possible next release? I really hope so. I checked my favorite Korean Toy Blog, there's nothing....

yeah maybe if theres enough demand for it.. they will surely make it. and they also would probably wait until the result of sales from Astroganga if continuing the this kind of product is profitable.. I need Bandai Groizer.... is the Yamato version that bad?

Yamato is indeed really good. Very charming and nostalgic. But come on, we need a moderntake with updated engineering from masterful Bandai. Groizer X deserves it. Love that pug face robot. Just please make him nice and porky

hmmm.. they did went thru with the concept.. sounds like Mazinkaiser hehe... sort of. lol no bro Mazinkaiser is a different beast the idea behind this was, Kouji is going to pilot a new Mazinger called God Mazinger and defeat Yami No Teio ones and for all the design of God Mazinger was very cool and it have alot of cues which they used in Grendizer instead lol

There was a design for godmazinger indeed but non of its designs were used in Grendizer as go nagai started working on it after the airing of Grendizer. I am not 100 % sure so correct me if I am wrong but I remember reading that somewhere.

I am not 100 % sure so correct me if I am wrong but I remember reading that somewhere. In the book Go Nagai Design Sketch of Super Robots, there are design sketches for a God Mazinger movie that was planned to be released in theaters once Grendizer's run on TV was over. Maybe that's what you're talking about. It was scrapped, obviously, and that name was then given to another, completely different robot. It did borrow its combined mode from Grendzer, with the body locked into the flying vehicle and the robot's head at the front, tilted back to look straight forward. Except instead of a flying saucer, it's some weird giant flying fortress.

I remember something like that! but if so then it is God mazinger who was trying to borrow cues from grendi there was also a mazinger in the 80s planned with a more modern 80s look , what was the name of that? another God mazinger ?!
