Hello. I’m going to Tokyo at end of May. Should I buy Dx Combattler there or should I just order it here online? Also, what are the best places in Tokyo to get Chogokin or metal build?

The box is like a big cube, about 18" to 20" per side. I'm estimating, don't have it in front of me at the moment. I know for sure though it's too large for carry-on. As for Tokyo, check out Akihabara area. Otaku central and loads of shops.

You have to take into account what the airline may charge you to check in extra luggage. Plus you need to find a box to pack it in. AmiAmi has 2 left for about $412 before shipping (non-collector grade box). linkYou'll probably find it for about the same price in Tokyo. The best part about buying used items in Japan, you can ask them to open the box for you and check out the item before you buy it. Where as when you shop online for rare/used chogokin, you're rolling the dice a bit.

That is true. How much normally is shipping to the US? Also, when I checked the link, it says pre-owned. How can I determine the grade of the preowned item? I could not see if it is S, A B, etc....

Hey guys. First time DX owner here and am feeling a little nervous about taking my Combattler Apart. Is there anything I should be wary of? I don’t want to cause any damage. Thanks!

Don't force more than you are comfortable for a piece.
In doubt, take a break and ask here. Someone who has it will gladly help you.

Thanks!! I’m more specifically referring to the uncombining process. Are there any release buttons? I still haven’t found a video w someone taking the robot apart. I don’t want to start pulling them apart w no knowledge of how the process works.

I don’t want to start pulling them apart w no knowledge of how the process works. The only component that takes a little finesse to get apart is the torso. Head, legs and feet all just pull straight out - grab and pull, simple as that. But the chest pulls out easiest if you get a grip and rock the whole thing back to unlock the clips in front, then just pull it up and the clips in back will disengage. There are two small red buttons on the back that are apparently there the help disengage the torso if you press them, but they don’t seem to really do anything on mine. Try it on yours though, it may work better than mine. If the head doesn’t want to pull free you can prod it from below after separating the chest.
