Yeah, something didn't feel right about DX Combattler V. Cancelled the preorder because of that back then. I do have high hopes of Daikumaryu, hopefully they don't pull punches on that one.

sorry for bringing this old thread up
but it just bothered me how Bandai didnt give this DX enough love
look at this photo
this is the Super Minpla Combattler v as you can see its very articulated, specially in the legs
so why the heck didnt Bandai add the moving upper thigh armor part ? it wont be a budget breaker and it wont harm the figure balance not to mention its a super easy solution
its just that i dont feel they gave this figure the attention it deserve since we all know the DX line is the ultimate version of the robot
Truth is Bandai becomes so bad lately and more expensive than before

dont get me wrong bro the DX Combattler v is one of the best, but there is alot of things they could do to make it better and its not costly at all
Truth is Bandai becomes so bad lately and more expensive than before
some releases yes they have alot of QCs and expensive
but some releases like the GX88 are spot on awesome

Engineering tiny model kit is one thing, and huge diecast figure is another. The joints on SMP can be held together by plastic friction alone, but it won't be the case with bigger heavier figures. Even relatively smaller SOC FA figures use diecast inner frames to achieve the level of articulations they provide.
thanks for sharing
but we are already aware of this and how engineering change from a figure to figure
we are not asking for alot, just add those movable armor parts in Battle Crusher (vehicle#3) so we can have some legs articulation
and trust me when i tell you if they manage to give the GX88 some cool joints they could do it in Combattler v , i know the designs are way different but this Bandai we are talking about

Tin is just a Hong Kong collector that loves to photograph his toys. He used to be pretty active on Toysdaily forum, but as less people use that forum, I have not seen him there as much the past year or so, but don't know if he is completely gone or just slowed down posting stuff.

I would love to view his pictures. where can we see them? Don't know were to find his whole collection. Here are some hints if you want to google him up: - Tin's Work 真普選 (his logo with hidden HK political meaning, just copy and paste that in google and you'll find 10-12 toy photos of his, use the "see more" function in the image search after you click on one of his photos, sometimes it leads to a few more not in your initial search.) - His username on Toysdaily forum is just "Tin", if you know how to search his post there. - Some Japanese collector likes his photos and possibly located his real name "Tin Wai Ng", and instagram/photobucket username "tinngsmile", but not 100% confirm its him. That's all I've got, wish I can find more of his info. His more recent photos often has hidden political theme that reflects the current situation in HK like this above (injured protesters in HK), while his earlier photos are more straight forward toy shots.

Tin has always been an amazing photographer, I remember back in the TBDX days when he was first starting to get into photographs that he had a great eye and sense of style with his pics.
