Evolution toys definitely has their own take on Tetsujin, and has put in a lot of love with the gimmicks and opening panels. The action toy one to be honest look a lot like the SOC down to the color pallets, and likely a straight action figure with little other gimmicks . I like both, but feel like the ET has put in a lot of love while Action toy will probably cash in. I need to look at the line art to see which is more anime accurate. agree. And.... I believe Bandai will make a DX version one day! Perhaps on your 80th birthday! Honestly even in the best case scenario it’ll be at least 6 years away.......with grendizer in a couple of years and we all know Voltes will come before Tetsujin!

Yeah I agree, can’t really compare the two until more information is disclose on the Action toys. All we see is one or couple photos and it’s just standing straight. True comparison is with them side by side and going over features, diecast and articulation. Photography angles and lighting can make difference too.
Action is more SOC renewal but bigger size and Evolution is more of modern rendition DX Godaikin in my eyes. Evolution is geared towards collectors like me. I like how the panels open and don’t forget one of my favorite features articulated fingers! Something I still wish the DX Combattler had. I can let go of shooting fist for articulate fingers now. I don’t have problem either buying Action Toys in the future if features check off all my list.
Don’t forget the next number in line is Daiku Mariyu after Grendizer. Thing gonna be massive!!

alot of love is not enough, the execution is what matter
if you remember the CMs Grendizer alot of awesome ideas on the papers but in real life its not so awesome
im not saying Fewture is %100 perfect but in those last years they improved alot, not to mention they are knowing for diecast overdose lol

And the CM’s Grendy, despite its many short comings, is still my favorite Grendy many years later.
I know you’re a big fewture fan, but don’t have to pour cold water on this release over and again before we even know about it’s quality (I re-read this whole thread earlier today and realized this). I see a lot to love about this release. So do many others as indicated by the sold out status on HLJ and the price on amazon Japan.

the thing is, there is a huge demand for this character in the market, the price of the GX-44 is insane at the moment and that's only Tetsujin 28, the GX-44S with Black Ox is even more crazy lol
so i guess ET made a very good choice by making it in the DX forum, its just that ET have a history of not so good quality so i cant help but to wonder how the quality will be on this expensive figure
speaking of CMs Grendizer what happened to improved Aoshima version ? lol

After seeing reviews of ET's recent VF-2SS and Legioss I am wondering if they switched factories to cut costs because- what happened?

Those are ET’s first attempt at complicated transforming toys and they have plenty of catchup to do. Even Bandai when they first did Macross VF-25 in the chogokin line they were horrible.
From what I’ve read the Legioss isn’t horrible and is an improvement over the Vf-2SS. Best legioss among a bunch of very mediocre and aged competition.
This on the other hand is a simple robot. Hopefully they can do a good job. Who knows.

so its about the same price of the GX-44 now But ET one is almost double size, so... not bad? $400 is a lot of money still.

But ET one is almost double size, so... not bad? $400 is a lot of money still. not to mention LEDs, much more accessories, and more gimmicks, but the sculpt of the GX-44 is way better in my opinion its indeed alot of money which makes me worried about the QCs, on something by ET that have alot of metal
