Yeah, there always is the price.... For around $300 plus there so many awesome choices.
Its a really hard call that im dealing with rihht now. On a budget, i have to make tough decisions.
For me, TBH, there couple of aesthetic issues with him. Personally, I wish the lower legs were tiny bit longer? .....and he looks...bit awkward in most of poses? (Although this guy was based on a vinyl figure, which basically is a statue.)
Having said all THAT, the light up, paint, jo8nt quality "looks" fan freskingtastic.
Ugh, what to do what to do....

I got mine couple days ago but haven’t attached weapons or change fists yet. I just added the cape and It’s beautiful piece for sure. Love the cape and though there is LED gimmick don’t really care for in general for me,it’s pretty damn sweet light up action. Comes with battery installed. Nice clicky joints that GGG will love. Elbow and knee joints only bend at 90 degrees.

Ooh, thanks for reporting in. I do love clickies. And yeah his cape looks tobe wholelot better when its all scrunched up, so dramatic so dynamic....(i didnt like it first "new"...but wow it looks good nice and "worn.") Glad you like it. How about diecast?
I was having a second thought and consider canceling it so many times the last few days...
Everytime it got delayed and whenever there were other distractions like KA God Mazinger....the last draw was CDJ asking for additional shipping....it was really tough.
But since i bit the bullet and paid the additional $11 im commited. Now I Cant wait to tear into mine. It should arrive in a week.

But since i bit the bullet and paid the additional $11 im commited. Now I Cant wait to tear into mine. It should arrive in a week. Yeah the cape is cool because it’s bendable wire underneath. Definitely don’t have to worry about Aoshima Daigoshogun Sticky cape here. Diecast appears to bottom heavy so feet, lower legs and maybe part of hip area. It’s only 1 Lb 3 oz. I swapped out hands so I can attach the guns. The arms hold still holding guns up at 90 degrees. So joints appear to be solid enough to hold the big guns. Torso articulation and neck is nice on ball socket joints. It can also twist at waist, Black Belt and side bends. LED will bring smile to you. I like it considering never bought a product from this company. Going to get rid of my SoC for this one. I have no complaints about it nothing falling apart just I hate removable hands but that’s personal taste. Could have used more diecast. My little brick Aoshima Getter is heavier.

Thank you Chogo!
I have that Daishogun too. Yeah.. i displayed him without his nasty PVC cape....(some day i will make him a silicon cape...) I got brick Aoshima proto Getter myself and 5Pro Getter is lighter huh? But Bottom heavy is always nice.
Aw..hope you reconsider ridding your SOC Getter. "Viva la de_France, no?"
Anyway, Cant wait to light my 5Pro Getter!!

Yeah it’s crazy we waited over 2 years for this. 😛I was pretty much down since I saw photos of it. It would be nice if they stole Bandai DC joint flexion for greater range of motion. 😀 ok maybe I’ll keep SoC I got it for cheap anyways. This Getter 1 displays really well with my collection. . looking forward to your in depth review GGG

Ok guys here's my "review.: Pros As far as i can tell....the entire yellow pelvic/hip is Carbon, lower legs and top of feet are diecast...everything else feels like plastic... The sculpt is amazing. In hand, he looks ideal. The Bulky beast makes other Getter 1s look like a toy...The only that can handle him is Sentinel Shin, but even then Shin looks like a skinny kid next to Carbotix Getter....This thing looks good in ANY and ALL angle! The paint also looks amazing with his milky white and vivid blood red school bus yellow details.. The Led gimmick works well. Articulation is really nice with chest roll and ab crunch...many clickies..He can look up aka flying pose...(Bandai, SMH) Bottom heavy like crazy. That's a good thing. His presence os comparable to that of other 9 to sub 12inchers! there are couple of other things on this figure that makes it a solid 8.5 out 10 instead of 10 out of 10. Constructive critism To me, the cape is not working. Its made of like cloth material like that of umbrella..the wires inside are stiffer then that of Sentinel. I'm not going to display with it. Tomahawks are PVC..a bad move. A figure this expensive should not have accessory thats made of cheap PVC .. and coming in Styro coffin the figure smelled bad...really bad. There're couple other minor things. Wish hand sculpt was more crisp. Shoulder roll joints are "Bandai tight." That's not good. (Everytime i rotate the shoulder its leaving bits of tiny micro white plastic pieces and tiny black skid marks)....Speaking of joints, most if not all of the joints are plastic.... at 350, ALL the joints need tobe metal on POM... A Final Thought A truely a beautiful piece. But TBH, AGAIN, at around $350 shipped, i can recommend him to serious Getter fans...i dont know if i can do the same for more general robot collectors...i have to be real. But if youre 5Pro fan, like me you might also get him. The price is SOC Voltron territory....and thats a tough neighborhood.. As you can see, The price was achilis heel on this guy.if it was $250, it would have been 10 out of 10. A real TOTY 2019 contender.

As you can see, The price was achilis heel on this guy.if it was $250, it would have been 10 out of 10. A real TOTY 2019 contender. It is my new favorite version of Armageddon Getter-1. Personally, I like the cape design. The material isn't as good as Sentinel's version, but it is very light and can look very distressed and dramatic. I have a gripe with My unit with not perfect paint finish on the back of the right thigh, looks like a 1.5cm scratch and then touched up, so you can see some streaks in otherwise perfect glossy surface. The touch up was not applied smoothly and you can feel the rough texture. I paid a bit less though, from N-Y, came to about $282 shipped. Maybe for $350 I would've gotten perfect paint (HA!). I know they're are not going to consider that a "flaw" so I'm not even going to bother making a fuss over it.

Oof, sorry to hear that about the paint.. QC wise Astroganger is better. Especially the paint.
But yeah, this IS the Getter 1. I cant get over how GOOD he looks. I give him "the creepy oldman glare" EVERYDAY now.
" DAMN he's GOODLOOKING!!"
Also just love how he feels. When i pick hom up. That bottom heavy assurance of quality goodness, solid.

I want to say they did past couple years but forgot who made it.

Yeah, 5Pro made couple of them last year! Overall real nice gokin.
But TBH, I wont be getting Black Getter as im not too fond of 5Pro Black Getter's "face", more specifically his eyes. "I just dont like his face" haha
I felt that way from the beginning, but Getter 1 was love at first sight tho.

I got mine a while ago and it's a glorious display piece.
A few random thoughts :
The cape
The cloth cape could be better, that is true, but I thought it still looked nice from a reasonable distance if you rough it up a bit in a dynamic pose. However, I did notice that the tip of one wire popped out of its sheath . (Not sure if there's an actual word for that: the "pocket" in the cloth that's supposed to hold it in place.) I'll have to take another look at it to see if it just popped out or ripped through the cloth (which would suck).
Articulation
I was a bit worried when I read here about people saying they sacrificed articulation a bit for a better sculpt. Well it's just fine. It's not Sentinel-level, neither in flexibility or complexity (no sliding panels here), but I couldn't really come up with a pose it couldn't achieve that I would actually want to put on display. It's no Olympics athlete, but it does its job well and looks great doing it.
Sculpt
Looks pretty much spot-on to me. It's true that the edges are a bit soft on the body - thinking mostly of the chest here (Getter Eagle) -, but it seems to be a conscious decision. The blades on the arms and the sculpt of the head look sharp enough to me. The fists, though, look like they just enlarged them from a SOC-sized figure. I thought they could have been a bit sharper than this. Nothing awful, won't make your eyes bleed and most people probably won't notice, but I did.
Getter beaaaam!
I thought it could be just a flaw on mine, but looking at pictures and videos it seems the Getter beam panel doesn't close completely shut, leaving a little gap at the top. Mine seems larger and easier to notice, but maybe it's just because I'm looking at it up close in person. If I pull a bit on the button (Getter 2's cockpit on the figure's back - pressing it make the navel panel go down and uncover the Getter beam), I can make it go up a bit more and align perfectly with the hole. Maybe it can be fixed, but I'm not sure I want to open it up and risk breaking or losing something. I'll probably leave it like that.
The guns
I probably expected too much, but I couldn't help but find them quite underwhelming. They looked so cool on the pictures, it was a bit disappointing when I finally got to manipulate them with my own hands and realize how... simple they were. Just one point of articulation to pop the barrel out and tilt it down a bit into "deploy mode" and that's it : the rest are just static plug-in parts. But to be honest, I'm not sure what else I was expecting. Yes, it would have be nice to be able to be able to pose the two guns in different states of unfolding, for a little variety, but : 1) that's not how it worked in the series (both guns pop out exactly at the same time); 2) not sure it would have worked well (especially if we're talking adding joints onto that little arm... with the weight of the guns...). In the end, even if they limit me to pretty much just one pose (with the fold-out guns), it's probably the pose I would have done anyway. SO PIIIIIPE DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWN !!!
Conclusion
I love it. Can't wait for Black Getter preorders to open, because I'm definitely on board. And fingers crossed really hard for Getter 2 and 3. I hope it does well enough and 5pro wasn't bullsh*tting when they said they were considering making them. If they do, hopefully they will look as fine as this one, even they're not based on a Medicom VCD sculpt. But the smaller "70s" Getter 2 and 3 they've shown some time ago looked really good, so I'm sure their larger Armageddon version would look great too.

Yeah The sheer presence is undeniable....
It has the best looking "under chin photoshot," the most unflattering angle possible. He gives Tom Cruz run for his money...
A Very handsom robot indeed.
