It is sad but they are not releasing any other jaegger. They had crimson typhoon ready and never launched it (it looked great, even when it's my less favorite). A gypsy avenger would have been nice also to have one to commemorate each movie...

So I got him today and the word is GOOD! Very nice solid figure, the joints are tight and the elbows are pretty solid on my copy. Love the detail and the engineering on this for the most part. Seen the videos about his Elbow connections and to be honest I don’t mess with them. Left it alone but move it all around. I like the heft and for the BBTS price of 149+ tax! It’s a great sale! Very happy I didn’t pull the trigger before. Like many others I have a great deal on this figure. Thank you BBTS!! Makes me wonder “what if” Bandai would release the other jaegers but sadly I think this won’t be happening ...I would it love to have him companions at least another one. Oh well... nice figure and very pleased with this Gypsy! That’s all....

Good to hear!
What is the "external" metal count on her?
I thought I heard Charles say, his chest, back cover, and bottom of her feet are metal.

Good to hear! What is the "external" metal count on her? I thought I heard Charles say, his chest, back cover, and bottom of her feet are metal. It's hard to say. It's actually designed more like a Metal Build, where most of the metal is internal armature with plastic armor over it. I believe top of the chest and the feet are the clearly metal external parts. All major joints are metal. And don't give up hope everyone. Word is Netflix is doing a Pacific Rim anime. They already placed a 2 season order.

Well the upper chest is diecast , the front upper legs are diecast and what I can feel the side pieces of the feet are diecast. Like others have mention the inner frame is diecast as well. Overall I am very happy with gipsy....

It is one of my favorite figures. It really should have been labelled a Metal Build and I think it would have had more success if they had. It is a fantastic figure

The brown delivery box is really unusually heavy!
Got to keep keep the thread alive. Maybe Bandai could give me Cherno. Please Never say "never", just look at GX-91.

Here is My detailed "metal" impression on this gokin. Ok guys, I had my private time with her teehee. And I'm going to break it down for ya.
Exterial metal, From the top to bottom:
1.The "hood/neck guard" is a solid metal. 2.Most of "the chest" or the largest part of the chest is metal. 3.part of the back /the battery cover is partially metal. 4.massive pelvic hip joint area, including the "NEITHER ZONE," (between the crotch and rear skirt) is a large metal! 5.the largest part of the front thigh is metal. 6.vent above the heel, on the lower calf is metal! 7.the side "auxiliary" toe and "some" of bottom of the feet are metal
Some notes on internal metal.
Most of all the major joints (Excuding wrist and neck) are metal. But knees for instance, the round side disc part of the joints are plastic. So, some joints do have mix of plastic about them. The pelvis/hip has a massive metal joint system. She is so heavy, I have a feeling there even more metal on the internal structure.
My final thought on metal count. This thing is heavy AF. I agree it IS more kin to MB then SOC, BUT I HAVE to add that, it's more kin to a "Super Metal Build" species...much Heavier, much bigger, more exterial metal and with LED gimmicked then your normal average MB......Again, I'm so impressed with the weight on "her."

There was a rumor that they might do a Cherno Alpha as well. Just no idea when?

Yeah I want Cherno so bad.
They even made prototype of the other two...the Aussie one and the Chinese one. Sorry fans, can't recall names with my mush brain.
I'll try to get my "procon" one pic review on Gypsy Danger in today.

Hi guys. Here is my procon review of this release. Pros 1.BIG, Heavy and laden with TON of metal....mostly inside but enough on the outside to calm the F down the metal fiends like me. Teehee 2.Beautiful LED gimmicks! 3.An Excellent "source accurate" sculpt, and an excellent paint app. 4.The only PVC parts I can tell were just hands, excellent! Cons 1.Flying and popping parts everywhicha way....so much so the smaller fins I didn’t even bother putting them on. So for the same reason I’m not displaying mine with cannon arms as They do pop off bit too easily too. 2.One of the fumiest toy in a while, stunk my smallish apartment for hours...prob the glue the factory is using. It also came in a styrofoam coffin so that’s an automatic con for me of course. 3.No clickie joints, of course. 4.No rear skirt joint....so you can’t lift her legs backwards. “Why? Head is super restricted....why? ....Bandai ...... 5.squeeky ab crunch joint...oof, not a fan of joint that squeeks. A final Opinion: I didn’t mind the odd lower arm joints too much. Also I wish it came with damaged parts for her...”. come on Bandai, you going to let Hot Toys out do you?” Still, Overall, an excellent excellent excellent release! 9.0! A real pleasure to hold. Nice heft on her~ Post Script: The MSRP as almost as much as Voltron, IMHO, is what might have hurt it.... As far as price to quality ratio on Gokin , currently, $300 SOC Voltron is the standard (to me). Disney Cars Chogokin was MSRP $250 haha. But I THINK SOC Frankie’s MSRP was up there too. Also many MBs are around $250 too.....so what I’m really trying to say is... Voltron really was a steal at $300......

One thing about articuluation. It is just as articulated as the source. GD was not that articulated in the movie.

I've been watching pacific rim the black (really enjoyed it), and rewatched both movies (the first one is still great). And of course played with this figure again... and I regret getting it. Don't get me wrong, the figure is great, and the best rendition of gipsy danger but is a very lonely figure... I sold my neca collection to get this one, of course I was counting on bandai doing the four main mechas... the neca collection was not great, but I could mix them with the monsterarts stuff and could have mixed it with the robot spirit stuff, like the new atlas destroyer, and thats the reason that makes me regret it. Neca stuff prices have skyrocketed and they are not so great so they don't worth that much, so I guess I am keeping this one, guess I'm stuck with one best figure...

What's even more disappointing is that Bandai already showed us a colored prototype of Crimson Typhoon, so you know they would have completed the main mechas had Gypsy sold well.

I don’t regret mine. I love the figure even with its flaws. I am disappointed that they didn’t release the other ones. I’m hoping that they use the new show as a jumping off point to introduce jaegers from the original movie into the robot spirits line. With regards to NECAs, I sold all of mine as well. As nice as they were, they were also ticking time bombs ready to break at any moment without provocation. I decided to get rid of them while they still had value. I did keep my Otachi. I think the Kaijus have held up better.
