Still the Huge Knees issues........ The knees aren't even the only problem. The scrawny arms, the anorexic waist, and the giant thunder thighs all add up to make the figure look so WEIRD in proportion. Like, there are times when the Bandai knocks it out of the park with capturing the animation model to plastic (SRC J-Decker) or even modifying proportions for the sake of making a much more dynamic looking figure (SRC Megazords), but Gurren Lagaan easily goes into the category of "WTF Happened Here?!"

Since you have the old one, what's the difference between that one and this new TWE one? I have the original release myself and I still cant tell the difference Maybe the gray parts now have a metallic flake to them but its not very clear form the pics. Thanks! What about accessories? Sounds like this set includes new accessories not previously included?

Looks like the only new accessory is the Giga Drill Breaker and the the Spiral Energy "sleeve" that can go over it. Just FYI, that Giga Drill and sleeve were part of the "drillset of manliness" option set, although there the sleeve was just grey, not green.

So Bandai is pulling another full package stunt with minor "repaint"!

Yea if anything its not a "full package" since it doesnt include the little drill bits from the drill set of manliness.

Just to be clear, this is a small Super Robot Chogokin and NOT the venerable Soul of Chogokin. Im passing as i already have one or two of this. A Nice fun figure. Since you have the old one, what's the difference between that one and this new TWE one? The new one appears to have the option set bundled in. The big drill effect parts were an add on for the original. Paint looks the same. For thise not familiar with the figure; con;like many SRC's, it's a stylized figure. The proportions are nowhere near anime accurate. Pro's; scary good articulation. Easily some of the best Bandai ever did. It's literally a figure that can kick its own ass.

True, some proportions were sacrificed to make the figure more poseable. It's not really that bad but the price has now bordered on SOC territory and it's more expensive than the new soc mazinger z. Personally I really feel that now that the SRC prices have reached this high then I'll just stick to SOC's since the SRC was supposed to be the budget gokin line.

i guess the only different between this and the early regular release is that huge drill and its green effect part, if they add the Drill Set of Manliness it would be more tempting to get
i know SRCs price became high recently, but do you think it worth the asking price ?

Personally it's a no for for me since I consider src's their chogokin budget line. If they make it premium then there's the soc for that kind of market

i understand your point guys
for me i wanted one in my collection since ever, the Konami version is out of the range, the sentinel version is not the appealing (for me at least) so im left with this guy
SRCs are cool in my opinion they have awesome accessories and awesome articulation, which comes in handy in photography
