I know some people don't like the blocky knees of this SRC but I loved the first release. It was so poseable and feels real good in hand. Even without the add-on parts set, it comes with hands and face expressions to make all kinds of poses from the show. And it even comes with a ̶S̶c̶r̶a̶n̶d̶e̶r̶ Gurren Wing! My 10th Anni version is on the way. I remember seeing the Anti-Gurren on Amazon for about $70 a year ago but I passed on it. I should've bought it because it really is a fun figure.

I have the Anti-Gurren, I'm actually thinking of selling all my SRC's in one giant lot. My girlfriends son needs braces which means $$$$$$ lol.

so i finally got my time with this figure, here is my thoughts
i feel this is more of an insult to Gurren Lagann than celebrating his 10th anniversary
i dont have the original version but Ive read alot about it to know that, this is the exact same thing but with different paint and more accessories thats it
first, i was trying to attach the drills from the drill set of manliness, its was by far the most annoying thing Ive ever done while doing a photoshot, the pegs are super tiny and you need to really squeeze them inside to secure them, after installing two drills your fingers will gave up, so what i did was take the figure apart, feet and side armor put the drills on then put them back on the figure, i wasn't sure about the arms so i didn't try to pull them out, what is super annoying they could easily avoid this stupid method by simply making the drills pegs magnets, or better yet to give us the parts with the drills already built in them, why i feel this is done by the same dumba$$ team who screwed up on the batteries location for the DX Combattler and the GX-77 ?
taken the drills off is the exact same pain lol
the figure comes with 3 faces and also changing them is annoying as will, they could easily use magnets in here too, but no small pegs method again not to mention the faces are like 18 bits the details are not quite good, dont get me wrong the details are there but not as sharp as i want them to be its a small figure after all
the mid section of the figure is super ugly and exposed when Gurren mouth is closed
the annoying revoltech joints are everywhere, the figure can hold the huge drill with no problem (for now) but this type of joints will gave up with time and it wont be even able to hold it self
lastly the tray, you seriously need the smurfs to help you pull stuff out, specially the faces and the four drills
this was a chance to improve the figure and make it better but they didn't
i honestly dont recommend this figure, if you are a patient person i recommend you wait for something better, maybe they will do an SOC version some day... for your grandchildren
even with all that tho i dont regret getting the figure and im not upset, i always wanted a Gurren Lagann in my collection and this was the best affordable option available

Damn... sorry to hear that, S_Gokin. When this was announced, I debated picking up it, or the Riobot. I went with the Sentini and I'm glad I did - the cheapest you can get it for now is $335. (FYI - it's really cool, but definitely not worth $300+).
I'm really hoping for a large, transforming SoC - kinda like the Studio Halfeye... but made with diecast instead of resin, and LESS than $1,000!

I'd be happy if they even made a GL for the SOC FA line without the combination gimmick. I just want a larger, gokin Gurren Lagann.

Very glad about that decision, and my stepping stone on broadening my appreciation with their stylized aesthetics. It is still my favorite GL in the market so far.
