Cant wait. They say many many more revision is expected to make the figure just perfect. BTW, TRUK Gokin 01 is Carbotix 01 AstroGanga "Live Metallic" version.

Yeah, and this figure doesnt have any clickies.....its supposed to be all friction joints (with proper engineering with quality material.) If its anything like Astrogangers friction joints...joints will not get loose.
5Pro says this figure is really meant to be played with, not just be stuck in the display case.... "IF" that turns out to be true, ANY respectable figure companies will have real hard time justifying and making excuses for loose joint issues( especially when all youre doing is gently handling their product few times....)
Yes, im looking at you Bandai....

Apparently, That highkick pic was no trick photography... Todays figure earn their articulation merit through couple of poses. Unassisted High Kick One leg stand and a ironman landing pose. Now only if it could do ironman landing pose, this would get A+ for posability. www.facebook.com/typhoon.kim/videos/10155092370727353/

This is looking pretty good. Hopefully one day we'll also see a Robot King in this format or from Studio NoMake in SRC size.

I'm liking what I see and liking that it is a bit smaller than Astroganga. It also looks to have some decent articulation, something 5pro has not been noted for.

Niiiiiice.
That Taekwon V gokin I got a few years ago lost an arm. I didn't even force it; it just fell off.
Time for a replacement.

Guys, Given " the license" issue, i highly doubt our usual venues will carry it.
For now, the only way is a Proxy service and be forewarned. there WON'T be any after service for this piece as it is meant to be distributed only in South Korea.(as far as i know) So unfortunately If anything goes wrong, including any QC issues, missing or broken piece will NOT be replaced nor refunded to anyone who bought it from abroad.
I could be wrong of course. If i find a way to order it, i will post it here.
Someone mentioned the price will be very competitive...im really hoping somewhere around low $100. So around $150 shipped ....just my guess.

Beyond the long running bad feelings between Toei and the SK animation studios for more or less wholesale copying them 50 years ago? Has anything there ever actually been brought to court? Any judgements in effect? And would anyplace other than Japan get involved? Note I’m asking this as the licensing nit picker around here. It’s a weird case and situation. Actually rather fascinating because of it. But I can’t find much specific info on any restrictions or sanctions. Taekwon V and it’s relationship to Mazinger Z is noteworthy in it incorpates not simply the usual bootlegging, but is instead a strange cultural and geopolitical thing. While Taekwon V’s creator openly admits to plauguerizing the idea to create a Korean focused Mazinger type show I don’t think that has ever caused any actual licensing problems. Heck the Anime saw US and Canadian release as Voltar or something similar.

Hey Faelon.
I just meant "the license" as messy (or a simple disgusted or/ and direct and angry reason) reason why Japanese distributor or vendors wouldnt carry TKV product..... I just cant imagin Japanese distributer wanting this as he would get just crap ton of hate from many many of fellow Japanese. But i DID hear the license owner is bit particular (or plain old AH) with the license even in Korea , well he used tobe lot more fikle then now
without going into too much in depth ( nasty rivary or a real bad blood in the family between the two nations), i just cant imagine Japanese will wanting to do anything with TKV...
Yes, TKV IS pretty much a knock off of Mazinger......Many would even say he's a straight up copy.....id think Japanese (not counting some collectors)) woulnt want a toy of that.
