Ohhhh... same size as Metal Build Gundams then? Thats what I was thinking - same size and they look like a cross of what would SOC line look like if mixed with Metal Build.

Ahhh what will sell or pass for me is once I see comparison with SRC and SOC combiner height. If it’s in middle as we think it is then I don’t think I will commit to the line. Got to love all toy lines always pushing new scale or rehash of something to get you to buy more of same stuff. 😂

If they're as tall as SOC counter parts, I'm in. If they're SRC size, I'm still in, but I'd be a bit disappointed lol. Exactly. Oh and if these are price range $175-200 or more then “I’m out” Shark Tank style.

Oh wow. At 1/100 they're bigger than I thought. That puts them at the same size as metal builds. Wow. Not really. The Valkyries are exactly the same size as the Toynami plastic ones. They are pretty much the same size as the smaller to mid sized SRC's. The Batroid's are about the same as some of the chunkier SRC's such as Alteisen. The non Macross stuff is a hair larger. Dougram and Rounder are closer to MB, but still a bit smaller. Xabungle might be getting into MB size ranges. The bigger oddballs such as the Glaug and the Monster are huge. If you have ever seen teh SH Monsterarts King Ghidorah, they take up about that much room or shelf volume. As they are non humanoid mechs it is hard to guage them against the more classic humanoid ones size wise.

Yes.....Bandai hear our request....Combatller V, Voltes V and Daimos!!! Oh gods! a full Robot Romance Trillogy in the same size, scale and styling. Throw in a Reideen and a Danguard Ace and we can also make a MArvel comic book out of them Edit: And now we know why Daimos wasn't included in that SOC re-issue poll from last year that gave us Dancouga and Baikanfu re-releases.

Since this particular item hasn't been unveiled/confirmed yet, I'll leave this here: Scrutinize the title above Voltes, when you see it, it will blow your mind...... Click thumbnail for full image: EDIT: Do note however that it is Combattler printed on the actual image, so it could either be a DX Voltes tease or could be just DX Combattler after all. Gold

DX? So possibly a DX Voltes V following the DX Combatler V? That would be amazing.

With the rising size and price of SRCs I feel that Bandai are trying to address feedback that SRCs are costing as much as SOCs by making a new line. Larger SRC get the FA label. If they are to scale with SRCs I'm more than happy.

DX? So possibly a DX Voltes V following the DX Combatler V? That would be amazing. It's just speculation for now, since it's actually Combattler that's printed on the backdrop. Guess we'll find out more in a day or so. Gold

Oh wow. At 1/100 they're bigger than I thought. That puts them at the same size as metal builds. Wow. Not really. If these were truly 1/100 then they should actually be bigger than a lot of the MB stuff since The Super mecha are by-and-large bigger than a lot of the real ones represented in the line. What am I missing here?

I think their size will be 18 to 20 cm this image and the base used are the same as that used for gx76 Grendizer depending on the dimensions of the base and the figure

But looking at some of these photos, I'm little scared that Bandai is taking WAY too much artistic license with the design... I want a source accurate sculpt on SOCs.... On SRCs maybe you can take some liberties as you been taking, but NOT on SOCs please! Come on! BTW, Good point on "Obari" treatment. Not a huge fan of Obari.... Aye! Tis exactly how I feel about the stylized look these things sport. If these were classic anime styled, at least to the same extent as the Dynamic Classics bots, I'd be all in, no further questions asked. But the way they are . . . I don't think I'll bite. Zambot, at least, looks good & classic to me; I just really hope it still looks that way when we get better pics/get closer to release. ---------------------------------------------------------- It seems that Bandai try to attract the new generation collectors, who are around 20-30years old. Bandai is generous enough to provide multiple choices for collectors. Old collectors who are around 30-40years old and like the old school design can choose SOC or DX soc. New collectors who are around 20-30years old have never seen the animation but played video game Super Robot Wars and began to love these robots, they would like to choose Obari style robots. Please donˊt forget the METAMOR-FORCE Dancougar made by sentinel are so popular ,which gets more good feedback than soc gx 13. According to my observation, ten years is one generation for collectors in Asia. The collectors around 40 years old like bulky style, The ones around 20 years old who often build gundam models like Obari style, the ones around 30 years old are in transitional stage ,they both like bulky style and Obari style . After watching the latest animation Combattler V 2012, I realize Bandai may try to refresh their old school robots.
