Since this particular item hasn't been unveiled/confirmed yet, I'll leave this here: Scrutinize the title above Voltes, when you see it, it will blow your mind...... EDIT: Do note however that it is Combattler printed on the actual image, so it could either be a DX Voltes tease or could be just DX Combattler after all. i think its the DX Combattler v since they are working on the DX Grendizer now but what does the X2 means ? any ideas

Gold I think what you have there Gold is a "booth setup guide" for the event, and that the graphics there are just mockups of the actual display pieces Please see pics below of the finished booth setup from Taghobby (notice the "lightning" background on the right of your printout, it's at the back of the Voltes figure):

Yeah, I think it's likely they just reused the old prop stand for the background and covered it with a new canvas. Too bad. Gold

So this line will be based on Super Robots that transform or combine, cool. That could include super robots like God Sigma, God Mars, Danguard, GOLION, Dairugger etc. Who couldn't pose dynamically because of be complex designs. I'm down with that and at a standard 180mm would make a great display.
An added benefit is that these can be displayed with either SRC's or certain SOC's depending on your size taste which I like.

I hope they come with lots of accessories and effect parts. Still on the fence about this line, but that would shove me over the edge.

Recently checked bandai (tamashii) site. Apparently they are gonna be 18cm average. So they will be soc size. (Don't know how to post a image in the forum)

Yeah diecast content which equates to price range is the unknown I like to know. The scale is already turning me off. I’m trying to keep my collection scale at a certain height. Small stuff gets overshadowed with the way my collection is going. So this might be trigger to make me unload most of my SRC.

New collectors who are around 20-30years old have never seen the animation but played video game Super Robot Wars and began to love these robots, they would like to choose Obari style robots. Please donˊt forget the METAMOR-FORCE Dancougar made by sentinel are so popular ,which gets more good feedback than soc gx 13. Obari actually worked on Dancougar, designing the robots and directing the animation. Dancougar actually looked Obari styled in the animation. ( And the Sentinel Dancougar is a much more recent toy, more solid and refined than the SOC, and at a somewhat more manageable size. ) But Obari had nothing to do with Combattler, Voltes, Daimos, Zambot, and Daitarn. Introducing those robots as redesigned by him into the SOUL of Chogokin line is random as hell. I doubt anyone would have expected Bandai to have released the Otano no Chogokin of Apollo 11 using a Saturn V rocket that was redesigned by Elon Musk. It's fine that they are making these. But including them in a flagship line that has always been known for adherence to the original animation and original toys is a really weird choice.

(Don't know how to post a image in the forum) So Bandai is indeed getting cheap on transforming and combiners but invested heavily on articulation and hoping die cast content. ANyway not a bad move since most of the collectors already have combining/transforming SOC before. So looking forward for this SOCFA lineup!!! Bring it on Bandai!!! Take my money!!!

I think one of the demographics for this new line are toy photographers (me!). While the heavy articulation is a given, the size is what makes it just right for toy photography. It’s not too big and heavy to be cumbersome to move around and put in dynamic poses that it needs to hold for a long time. It’s also at the size that it would work with a lot of effects pieces that Tamashii has already produced like the ultraman buildings, explosions, etc. They would even scale well with shmonsterarts figures for some Mech vs Kaiju action. Regarding the stylized look: while I would’ve preferred a more classic look, I’m mostly fine with it and will probably help make it look more dynamic in pictures. The only thing I’m not a fan of are daimos’ legs. Why couldn’t they just make it a straight line down like voltes but instead they opted for that gundam-y leg design? Maybe they’ll introduce the classic design versions after we’ve all plunked down our money on this one. At the same time they’ll open Bandai Bank so we can all just route our paychecks to them

Yeah.
This is Bandai's grand attempt to try to out-Obari Sentinel's bots.
Kinda doubt it, but still wondering if the metal-content (if any) and the shiny will be on par with Sentinel's.
Just hoping it will be significanly less than the usual Sentinel-pricing.

This line does seem to be tailored to the new generation of toy collectors, who are more into articulation than anything else (e.g. transformation, combination, anime-accuracy, etc.). The stylized design allow flexibility to build in mechanisms that hide extra joints and gaps, which is what sentinel did with the Mazinkaizer.
I'm old school and prefer the good old SOC, but will probably pick up a few of my favorite mechas like Voltes. Zambot3 looks really good too.

i like some of every world, articulation, anime accurate, diecast and size
and its rare to see all of these features in on figure in this hobby, best examples i can think of is Fewture Juohmaru, GX-71 and KOB
so far im in love with what i saw from this new line, the new design is not wow but its decent enough for me
all i need to know now is
Price, hopefully is not higher than the regular SRCs
Diecast, i wont care much if it was less but i want the figure to have weight to it
Release date, which i really really hope they give us a nice gap between each release, so we can get at least one figure to know what we paid for and of course to save up for them lol
