I am in Tokyo for some time. Do you recommend any shop to buy SOCs and any of the nice figures in this sub? Thanks in advance

Was there in december, and unless i am looking at the wrong places, it is not easy to find SOCs in tokyo. The only place with a decent selection is madarake @ nakano broadway.

Ya toy shops typically only have new products in stock. You will find them in various shops in Akihabara (make sure you take the stairs to visit upper level stores as you likely won’t find any SOC on ground floors). For older releases hitting Mandarake is a good idea, but prices are nowhere near they used to be because it is now flooded with tourists. There is a Mandarake in Akihabara and other places too. Check their website. Nakano is by far the most interesting. However going to be more remote Mandarake may be rewarding as the good stuff aren’t picked up right away like they do in Nakano and Akiba.

yodobashi akihabara- discount prices on current releases from soc/src, to transformers to model kits, lots of electronics too, kind of like bestbuy merged with toysrus merged with walmart combining into the happiest place on earth
tokyo anime center- has small selection, but might have recent releases that is sold out everywhere else. Last time I was in tokyo the bandai yf-19 advanced was sold out everywhere except here.
try amazon.jp locker shipping, good prices and if you don’t pickup it automatically returns the purchase. make sure you have google translate on your phone so you can use the locker terminal

Like the others have said ^ Akihabara, I found a lot of SOC's inside this 8 floor building with card games at the first floor. I'm pretty sure the official AMIAMI store was up there, also the official store for Fewture were there as well. My only advice is try not to climax with all the robot goodness around you like I did in my visit this past summer. Enjoy!

Another vote for Nakano Broadway, a good mix of new and used (almost half of it is Mandarake owned).
Akihabara is all about new stuff and flagship stores, with Radio Kaikan as one of the main toy shopping building. A Kotobukiya flagship store near there, sometimes has small show/models exhibits on their top floor.
Go Odaiba to see the 1:1 Unicorn Gundam and buy exclusive Gundam goodies at their Gundam Front store there. Near is a Toyota car muesum, pretty awesome with some nice GT cars on display (supposedly you can test drive cars there too, if your Japanese is fluent enough. Has a small track there)
If you like One Piece, Tokyo Tower has a small theme park, while Shibuya has a One Piece store in one of their indoor malls (forgot which one).
Side note, some random big camera or electronic stores/buildings often has a floor dedicated to toys with good discount. For common latest releases like S.H.Figurats and such, you can find them pretty cheap there. Came across a few of those in Shinjuku (but not exclusive to that area).
