Recently, re-watch an old clip about gunpla production in Bandai factory. And then, hours later, I watch Tamashii Nation Quality video. From both feature videos, I could see how serious Bandai manage their chain of production. Of course, with so many action figure in line, QC problems of the product became ordinary.
Ok! Aside from QC problem, I have to admit, those Behind The Scene of toys production video, showed me how difficult to produce toys. This complicated manufacture process for gokin/action figure, is a proof of Bandai dedication for quality and perfection.

i agree with you, but with latest releases there is some poor engineering and alot of short cuts here and there
which is something not acceptable from the #1 company in the market
im not saying they are bad. but they could be way better than this

Also engineering design and material choice is bad.....
SOC Kaiser breast plate peg anyone? Yeah, should have spent that dime and made it diecast but Bandai CHOSE not to. Now that's $250 figure we're talking about. SOC figure!! Their marqui line. And they cant even get that right.
This video is a poor excuse. Instead of admitting fault, apologize and fix the issue, Bandai decides to make PR.... Not what i expect from my favorite company.
Bandai USED to make perfect figures as recently as SOC Danguard ACE! Its perfect, faultless....( though it might be bit small for those who loves scale).

Sometimes I never understand why toy makers choose to use small long pegs, when they can easily go twice as thick, while shave off plastic elsewhere. While I don't own the SOC Kaiser, that is obvious a bad design choice, just by looking at it. Same with a number of incidents with Bandai or other companies, as if thin small pegs are cool and bragging rights, like people trying to go as thin as possible on LCD screens.
Sentinel: "Dude, check out my pegs. See how thin they are." Bandai: "No doood, check mine out!" Sentinel: "Wow....sooooo thin."

Anyone seen the sh monsterarts line? Plagued by QC issues. Joints are always loose, fragile af, and don't even get me started on the paint quality. For (generally) all plastic 5 to 7 inch figures that outprice the SRCs that's ridiculously disappointing

Off Topic Alert!! Kind of...
Mchi, same goes for these damn phones and tablets....thin is not NOT better! What's the freaking point of being so thin if you end up sticking it in a fugly case because its too thin and fragile? And it so damn thin we start losing actual fuctionalities like replaceable batteries and memory card function. ( Don't forget the structure rigidity....) Just amazingly dumb......
Tetsuran, i coudln't have said it better... these big companies with harvard grads make bad decisions after bad decisions after bad decisions...continously. And they still have a job? ANY of us can do a lot better job then guys at Apple, Bandai or Samsung. Trust me when i say that.

Then we should find a way to let them know that, so they will hire us and we all get very well paid jobs and have lots of money to spend in more toys... Joke aside many guys here have been collecting for a very long time and handled hundreds of toys, they could be great consultants for bandai or any company doing gokins.

It's truly beyond me they would sacrifice the headphone jack or even a half decent battery for half a millimeter less. It's kinda ridiculous when you think about it
