From Blitzway site "Product Weight : Approximately 500g (including Package)" Hmmm... that's not heavy at all for a 23cm robot Just some things to compare with: GX-66 Tryder G7 is 23cm, 758g robot only GX-75 Mazinkaiser is 20cm, 510g with Scrander GX-87 Getter Emperor is 20cm, 534g robot only 5PRO Getter-1 is 23cm, 552g 5PRO Astroganga is 23cm, 441g
Yes yes I know weight isn't everything but I'm not going to expect much diecast in this release And I do love the 2 Carbotix releases I own.

How good are 5Pro Studio toys? I assume they will take the lead in this.
Potential weight is rather disappointing.

I have their Astraganga and Getter-1 The Astroganga got everyone's attention because of the amazing "wet" paint finish. I mean, pictures don't do it justice. The articulation was just fair, but I don't think most people are putting their Astroganga into any extreme action poses. Their Getter-1 was much better in terms of articulation but still not Super Robot Chogokin level. The sculpt to me was excellent and at 23cm it really displays beautifully. Wired cloth cape was really well done.

Thanks for your impressions, especially since I couldn't find much online. Guess it should be good, then.

Preordered this...first I wasn’t sure I like the leg panels but I don’t have modern version of Mekander in my collection. Hope to see Black Getter available soon since I love the Getter-1.

Have to see more to decide on this one. On one hand I prefer a classic look Mekander, but this rendition is not bad. But it does feel like a Riobot wannabe, but not quite there. But if the overall sculpt is still good with good gimmicks, I might still get one. I'd rather have the classic as well. So is there an anime/cartoon of this version? Or is this like a "Fewture Mazinger"-ish version?

you gave me a heart attack lol
i thought there is another exclusive version but when i saw the pics i was relieved
for me i like this new design, there is hardly any thing for this robot and looks like this one will be the best version for it
even tho i dont know anything about it, i just like it

Yeah. From Toysdaily, when a guy put in his preorder at his local shop in HK, the shop warned him that this Mekander is going to be much lighter and less diecast than their previous entries after confirmed by manufacturer, if that is OK with him. While he ordered anyway, it shows signs that this is indeed going to be lightweight. 500g including packaging is pretty light (says on the Blitzway site).
And maybe this is another case of non-Japan based company (Blitzway is from HK I think, could be wrong), with the price on their official site and BBTS much cheaper than shops in Japan, whom have to import this for once and sell at a higher yen price. Though what I am not sure of is the relationship between Blitzway and 5Pro. If Blitzway is just a publisher partnership, or do they actually own 5Pro. If I remember correctly, it is only until a more recent SDCC where the two brands bundled together in the Blitzway booth showing off the Getters. Blitzway itself is a 1/6 figure company and doesn't touch robots much. And 5Pro used to be on their own with the Carbotix line.

Yeah wondered why it’s Much cheaper Than 5Pro Getter since this Blitzway product and “plastic”. I won’t get my hopes too high then. Maybe some other company like Pose+ will do proper anime version with diecast

All plastic? Non-starter for me.

Yeah, i dont know exactly who bought who...but both are South Korean companies.
Also, Carbotix line i thought was a Japanese... The exclusive feature point of the line was to include Carbon...hence the name Carbotix. Well Where is it?
The fact that its NOT source accurate AND light weight is a Serious concern for my purchasing decision 9n this piece....
They left out ALL the positives on previous releases. I understand trying new things but i think its a big mistake to leave out Carbon, diecast and their outstanding "wet paint."

All plastic? Non-starter for me. Not all plastic, but more plastic. Blitzway site did mention it has metal as one of the materials.

i really dont care that much about the amount of diecast, Sentinel do it all of the time and no one said anything !
this however is by 5pro i trust their quality even if it was mostly plastic, and i like the fact that they did this figure this way, it looks really slick on top of that its not waay over priced

Good luck everyone. AmiAmi has lowered the price from 33,660 JPY to 28,215 JPY, that's around 5,445 JPY less then the original price they announced before.

this mekanda looks like its built out of lego, ugly as hell i can't unsee it.... But now i CAN imagine if Lego DID do this figure ( buildable of course...) WITH "metal joint parts!!" And now THAT would be amazing.....
