I paid for my order 11 days ago with TF-Direct and they still haven’t shipped my order! This is the second time I order from them and I had the same issue the first time around. My advice, avoid TF-Direct if you can! I Can’t complain if it’s free shipping. Besides, they will ship it with a fast trackable service. Mine was shipped today.

My advice, avoid TF-Direct if you can! TF-Direct shipped mine last night. I order around 29 days ago. I'm sure they'll start shipping yours soon.

I also got my shipment confirmation on Monday but they have yet to ship the item. I go to USPS and it still says: label created but not shipped yet.
I ordered this back in March. I don’t understand why they need 12+ days to drop this in the mail

ShowZ seems to still be the cheapest, so I grabbed it from them. This is certainly going to be a viltron heavy year for me.

I'm not going to sweat it, tracking Chinese always seems to be hit or miss for me.

USPS gives more general statuses until it's in the U.S..

Does anyone know if they will be coming out with this figure trimmed in white instead of grey. That's what I fell in love with when I first saw the concept of this figure. Remimds of a Voltron/Gundam.

One mayor difference between this and the SOC is the silver around the chest shield. I really like the silver on the SOC, it makes the shield pop that much more. I will try to paint mine once it arrives.

Got mine in today. I’m a little drunk so I’ll have to reassess tomorrow, but my first impression is mixed. It’s a hefty figure, and has heavy diecast in the legs, but the exterior is completely plastic and it feels like a $40 toys r us toy, but a heavy one. The joints are pretty solid and clicky. The legs won’t hold every pose, but it’s hard to say how much of that is the joints and how much is the limited articulation. There is NO thigh swivel, or foot swivel. They are on ball joints at the thigh and will turn on the joint itself, but nothing will turn independent of the thigh joint, above nor below the knee. One nice feature is that the foot lion heads have great forward articulation, so you can bend the ankle much further forward than on other voltron figures. The shoulders come forward a bit, and the green and red lion heads do have swivel, unlike the blue and yellow. Every lion head has light ups, which looks nice. The wings on black lion move as a single piece up or down. Keeps them symmetrical and solidly in place. The chest/abs crunch forward a little. The head has decent articulation. There is no peg in the hand for the sword. The lion mouth closes around it pretty well, but it will slip around in there a little. Paint is clean, but very plastic-y. Overall, For the size I think it the price is semi-decent, but not great. Hey, it’s a custom but also bootleg toy. I’m not sure it fits in my collection, but I feel like it will grow on me if I keep it. It’s unique and stylized. It is in no way a competitor for the SoC, it’s more like a smaller type of the Toynami EX. I like it. I have to examine it again sober! Only one thing is certain - someone else will do a better review. Enjoy my crappy photos.

Forcing myself not to go on a Knockoff/bootleg vs. unlicensed tangent thank you for the breakdown here. Stuff like the lack of thigh swivel is something that would've definitely threw me through a loop as I figured it's a given but it seems to get a good amount of rotation from where it does in your pics here. --------------------- I've gotta say I'm looking forward to this one even more so than either of the SOCs. Obviously it doesn't have that crazy, high-end appeal that the others do but I'll be damned if it's not nice to see something different.

The balljoint turns well enough.
The reason I called it a ko/bootleg is because this isn’t produced by the guy who created it. That piece was an “original” unlicensed piece and this is a knock-off of that piece. I know it’s not a ko/bootleg of a licensed piece.

The balljoint turns well enough. That's what it seems. Not getting into all of the rest of that because it goes beyond topical features/aesthetic and into all of the additional engineering and parts that took it from being a statue into a full-on, articulated figure with LEDs and the like. It's one of those slippery things to where the stylization of the character is definitely unoriginal but the product itself isn't made to replicate or pass as the other. But, it's what it is and I'm going to let my opinions or take rest there. ----------------------- This comes this week. I honestly can't wait to photograph it. I don't remember who I was talking to but there's a lot about this thing's proportions that really haven't been explored by people taking pics of it and I think that it will make for some dynamic stuff that other Voltron figures literally can't pull off. ----------------------- I agree with the poster that said it'd be cool to see the original mockup colors with the whites done (and good eye there.) I wouldn't be surprised if an eventual SOC GX-71R uses that in place of silvers as well because I didn't realize until seeing it on another forum but there's quite a vocal number of fans who want to see products homaging that "anime" coloring vs. the toy silvers.

I agree with the plastic feel of the figure. It feels more like a model kit kind of plastic but it has really nice paint application. The one thing i don't like is how out of proportion the legs are. The legs get wider the closer to the feet you get to the point where the heads of the feet see sof stupidly large. That's the only thing i have a problem with. Other than that i think this figure is fantastic. He's stylized enough to be modern but he still looks like voltron. He won't ever replace the soc but he is a great addition to any voltron collection.

I don't know why I'm so bothered by the fact that even though they stole the design, they couldn't be bothered to make the lion heads different. Instead they just cloned the arms and legs to save on costs. Would have really looked so much better and unique had they followed the original design. Pic is from the original version statue by Juny
