I can post the link but Looking at thier photo, The metal on the exterior seems to be at Lower legs and the middle part of the chest. I'm sure there more metal in the support structure and joints.

hmmmm , I don't know what to think . it is a unique getter design that we don't see very often, But the design it self is not very cool looking! also the minimal diecast use is another thing that I am concerned about. I will wait for reviews ! Honestly on something that's this hefty and has the extra pieces needed for the transforming gimmick the diecast should be minimal and placed in strategic areas or else irl be nothing but a hazard. yeah I know what you mean, but again look at their gunbuster, it is full of gokin goodness and it is pretty much one of their best releases. same goes with Daiojah.

the diecast content is different from robot to robot depending on the design in real life, maybe to keep the combination smooth they went with plastic part
the diecast is only on the front part of the legs and tiny area in the chest
its a pass for me anyways

wow and i thought the most powerful Getter is Shin Getter 1 I think Emperor is supposed to be like from some kind of a dark alternate future where the Getter Energy ran out of control and threatens all of existence. TTGL pretty much straight-up knocked off the story with the anti-spiral nonsense.

What baffles me the most is that they went for this before dabbling Shin. It's like they just wanted to engineer something that wasn't just a straight-up action figure.
Come to think of it, what WAS the last SoC to utilize a new engineering that actually transformed or combined?

Prob the Voltron and Megazord, unless you count new Grendizer DC with the new Spazer as combining.

Lower legs and chest is a pretty standard distribution of die cast. So can’t complain too much. So long as it has some internals such as the hips and shoulders. Also put me in the column of unlikely to purchase unless I find a good deal. I know nothing about the robot or character, and it is seemingly that overblown crescendo of escalating power that I kind of despise in modern anime and Manga. Gurren Lagaan went off the rails for me when they started doing the same crap. “It’s as big as a planet and it’s punches are the Big Bang!” Yeah, no. That’s not an interesting story. It’s two kids arguing their favorite super powers on a grade school playground.
It does look a bit cool and creepy, in a heavily raided out way.

Well, pretty much part of the culture of "overwhelming power" as manifested in say, Dragon Ball Z...so, they are just applying this to Super Robots albeit making it quite over-the-top which I believe is the point. Nevertheless, I concur though, it is something I'm not used to but I'm also someone accused of (by Transfans pretty much) to be stuck in the 80s so, clearly, I'm just a grumpy old dude who is not "with" the times. In short, I'm not hip and not cool. <sniffs>

FWIW, I had the riot act read to me recently by the First Lady and so, I'm going to be cutting back and this is as good as any to cease and desist with my prior need to be a completist for the SOC line. On a neurotic-ish level, it does feel...weird to be knowing I'll be missing this purely from a hoarding perspective and will be missing SOC numbers for the first time...
My excuse is that Emp looks like food. And is weird-looking (borderline ugly).
At least it's first world problems, LOL.

I have to admit.
I am rather tempted to get this guy mainly due to it being one of the only transforming Getter toys in a long while.
I do wonder if this can set a precedent of classic Getters getting combinable versions one of each variant and forms of thereof.
Since Bandai tends to release Getters in 3s anyways,it would be nice to see this become a thing.
