well it's just a number in the end. Now we can rearrange all our expectations towards GX88, GX89, GX90 and ect

dont let the looks fools you, Daitarn 3 looks good too but its the most awful FA lol, i think i might wait on this one to see how it will turn out
and come on bro how could you compare a be a beautiful lady like Chloë to a super robot
I don’t understand why they skip numbers anyway.
my understating, they work on couple of projects at the same time with dead line for each project,
some finish early, some finish on time, and some take longer than expected so they delay reveal of that project (number)
well it's just a number in the end. Now we can rearrange all our expectations towards GX88, GX89, GX90 and ect
its not just a the number, its the delay its self, i dont see the point of that if they already know whats the robot is going to be
GX70 worth the delay because it was a new idea
GX76 Grendizer and they must tease the other spazer i understand
but the delay of revealing the GX81 and the GX84 is not understandable

Looks awesome and he could give Diamos a run for his money. I honestly have no idea what the numbering complaints are about. They showed Zambot months ago if you’re surprised it’s GX-84 that’s your issue, not Bandai’s.

Are we EVER going to get a ******* Jeeg figure from Bandai??? They are now up to 84 figures, half of them are Mazinger's and still not a single Jeeg figure! And yes, I don't count Kotetsu Shin and neither should you. Are we going to see a proper Jeeg figure before they hit the 100 bench mark? The demand is there, the CMS figure sold like crazy, what is the delay Banda? Make it happen!
Also, Shin Getter 2 and 3!

But the ACTION TOYS Jeeg is f**king awesome, highly recommended. Looks great with SOC too.

its not about the numbering please focus bro
they delayed they reveal of what robot will be the GX-84, so they got us hyped for nothing (again)
also if you look close you can see something is odd the FA figures should have follow up numbers but thats not the case, Voltes is GX-79 then two GXs later you get Daitarn 3 then Daimos then Zambot 3, which leave combattler v to be what ?
they show alot of figures without any numbers as well so it could be anything but when you take your sweet sweet time not revealing what that robot is normally we will think its something big not somthing we saw before
they should have reserved numbers for the FA line so when dont get hype for nothing, and if you ask me the FA line should be a sub line not in the SOC line

because you dont need JEEG all you need is a new Mazinger figure
joking aside, they showed a blue print for Jeeg along side the DX Grendizer way way back but not sure what happened to it
Shin Getter 2 and 3, come on man you skipped Shin Getter 1
there is alot of stuff i want to see from them but i dont know what is their priority plan when it comes to what to release first

could you explain how this is a fair point ?
because all of the 3 times they jumped a number it turned out to be something we never saw before, however we saw the FA Zambot on multiple occasions so why hiding its number in the first place
they just cant get us hyped for something we saw and we know exactly how its going to be man, that is my point

Bandai never promised that every time they skip a number it means it's something you haven't see before. That's an assumption you made. If you want to get upset over it, that's on you. A lot of us never made that assumption.
Remember, there are plenty of things that have been revealed that still don't have release dates. Ideon, Combattler, Getter Go, and God Mazinger among them. Don't be surprised if they get plugged into unused slots if Bandai determines they fit current demand and can be worked into a manufacturing schedule. Or they might not be made at all. Nothing is certain in this hobby.

Well if Bandai actually hyped GX-84 I would agree with you. (Like they hyped-up GX-81) But that never happened, Bandai never was like watch out collectors BIG reveal for ‘84. I am here looking at Bandai working overtime re-releasing a bunch of popular releases, including another GoLion run and then Diarugger reveal, which is a HIGHLY anticipated SOC to say the least. I understand anyone who thinks FA should be a subline but I look at it as Bandai giving fans who complained constantly about SRC scale what they asked for. But if you’re sitting around b*tching about numbering and whether a release should be in subline while Bandai is cranking out some of their best releases I’m more than a little dumbfounded I guess. I’m going to go check out Bandai’s Metal Build and Macross releases cause those are pretty amazing right now too.

i dont see where is the "A lot of us never made that assumption" ? its only you and TattooedRobot , also your point is not valid,
did we know or even saw the GX-70 before they reveal it, nope keep in mind they reveal the GX-71 Voltron before it
did we know or even saw the GX-76 before they reveal it, nope
did we know or even saw the GX-81 before they reveal it, nope
wow triple nope in EVER time they skipped a number, i guess it will be very STUPID to think that the next time they do it, it will be something we never saw before
come on man numbers dont lie, its the logical thing, because it happened EVERY time they did that, why would they skip a number unless if it something they were working on for a long time and they need to make sure its perfect before the reveal ?
jump a number hide the character for a long time = it must be something new we didn't see before, its not a rocket science
i wont have any problems with any of the figures you mentioned and what number they will hold since all of the unknown GXs got revealed
last thing are suggesting that Bandai are ruining blindly without any plans ? seriously ?
let me break it to you there is NOTHING called "unused slots" with global companies, they ALREADY knows WHAT they are going to do and WHEN they are going to do it, there is a short term plans and a long term plans, and those plans wont change for anything unless they got a huge disaster

same pointless point mentioned by tiffermore , are you guys related lol ?
dude Bandai doesn't need to hype anything, from our experience with them we get hyped when they jump a number (read the post above)
also last time they did "watch out big reveal and played a guessing game" it turn out to be a disappointment for them and for some of the collectors (GX-81) so i dont think they will do it again
if Diarugger was the GX-84 i wont have any problems since its clearly something big and complex to make, UNLIKE Zambot 3, which is just another FA figure. which is my main point that you and tiffermore cant get, the FA Zambot 3, is just another non complex FA figure that doesn't deserve to be a huge secret for all this time

Meh these are just action figures at the end of the day, no need to tear each other apart because of what number a figure is and how it was delayed. This Zambot imho looks pretty sick and actually may look into getting this(still love the gx-23 more due to combination). Bandai does sh*t when they want to. Look at the time frame between gx-68 to gx-71(not counting the gold hammer Mecha or gx-71 came out before gx-70), a good 2 years time frame between them.

I see both sides of the conversation. No, Bandai doesn't do a lot of "mystery" sh*t like announcing announcements, but it'd be nice to know that when a new SOC is announced that you know you're going to get an actual Soul of Chogokin pieces vs. a Full Action piece which is more akin to what SRCs were at a slightly larger scale. Personally, I find it pretty lazy on Bandai's part and it feels like instead of working to build a better reputation for a line that wasn't doing so hot that they just shoehorned the products into a line that's doing better. At this rate they could throw some diecast onto jumbos and start releasing them in the SoC line as SOC: Big Popies. It's pretty silly when you look at the implications of a line that went with 70-something odd releases suddenly becoming this hodge-podged variety line. In fact, with Bandai not really releasing a "hit" since GX-71 It comes off as an admittance of failure them doing this. I don't take any personal offense to them doing it but I definitely think s_Gokin has a valid point albeit relayed in a manner that may read very concisely.

You're right, man. There's no way a theory that solid would ever be disproven.

Hmm. Yes. Clearly this delayed numbering was the plan from the beginning. Will you boycott Bandai to teach them a lesson?
