Fairly expensive is an understatement. There is a $100 shipping on top of the $140 sword. Man...

That one in the Ebay link is the all diecast sword that came out as a separate piece for GX-31 Voltes.

What's the size difference between the sword for GX-31 and the FA version?

What's the size difference between the sword for GX-31 and the FA version? The figure size are very different, so I assume the sword would be as well. Not likely they will match I am guessing.

Problem with 3d print parts is that its prone to breaking. Unless you use PETG materials what ive seen in youtubes videos being a stronger material. Plus the fact that it will not be as smooth as a normal plastic unless you use lotsa coat of primer then paints.

@ mojacko: Thank you for your suggestions. I really didn't know these aspects. @ Chen: Yes the bay auction is referred to the die-cast sword (not divisible). In the picture below you can see the differences among the "swords":

Crappy, I guess if someone could make a mold of GX-31 and make a resin sword might be a option or bite the bullet and buy the diecast one. Although I believe there was some issues of the diecast sword being a bit to heavy for GX-31 to hold properly. I don't have GX-31 anymore or I would try and make a copy for you.
You best bet though would be to go on FB and look up a Voltes V fan group and see if someone can help you.

The Diecast sword is DEFINITELY too heavy. I have one (it's in storage somewhere), but I do remember it was useless for any type of posing. Made for a really cool letter opener though. lol

Just a reminder, that diecast sword is not an official Bandai release. It was a third party item that went for below 20 USD back in the day.

Hello guys, Thank you to everyone for the answers. I agree with KumaStyle....is more convenient buy another Voltes GX-31 . Maybe I can get the blade....Any idea about the red hilt?? Thank you for your time Keep in mind that sword you are looking at on E-Bay was a special exclusive bonus item on the first release. It was an extra Die Cast Metal sword. It is most noteworthy as being to heavy for the figure to hold. Although I understand it makes a nice letter opener. It's not the actual chromed plastic sword that ships with every GX-31 variant.
