I've heard that people have problems with all the Getter Robo's falling apart. Fortunatley for me none of my Getters have this problem and are super tight. You have to put some pretty good force for the latch to catch, but once it catches it holds on pretty good.

Here's a picture of how secure Poseidon can be if you can get it attached right. That's a 2.5 pound weight tied to Poseidon.

Chen that reminds me of an old John Candy movie where he was putting weights on his uknow to help it grow.

I had the same problem. It pissed me off as I tried to get the two part to lock. get a proper size screwdriver and take it apart. Its not hard to do and you wont damage it in any way. The problem is incorrect tolerances from the factory. Now you have an option. Either enlarge the yellow piece that the plastic nub goes into or sand down the nub itself (just wrap a piece of high grit sandpaper around it and work it back and forth till its evenly sanded down/see if the parts interlock every so often so you wnt have to sand down too much). Sanding down the nub of course doesnt require taking anything apart so you may want to do try first

Yomambot has it. Mine took a swan dive from about four feet up. It landed headfirst in an empty glass bowl. Thanks to some kind spirit Poseidon survived with only a tiny black mark that easily rubbed clean. He didn't separate either. You might try lubricating.. I'm not gonna go there.... (but it does help) JWM

Thanks everyone!!! Rayar was right (mostly).I took it apart and began to mess with the yellow part.I put it togther several times. But it would not stay together any better. Out of frustration I stated to mess around with the the black part that is the switch on his back.I decided to flip it around and put it back together. And it worked! ;D ;DNow I don't know if this piece in mine was backwards or not but for me it works so I am happy!Thank you all for your help and thanks especially to Rayar for leading me in the right direction.Thank you!!! ;D

Mine conects just fine.
Then again, I got mine a lot of time after the original release.
Maybe Bandai had already corrected the problems.
Hmmmmmmm, maybe, just maybe, getting the SOCs latter means less QC Issues?

Mine has the same problem, but I think I found a solution that works for me: Pose it and leave it the Hell alone.

I would do that too but I have known the risks in displaying things that aren't fully together. When friends and my wife feel the need to picck stuff up when they discover its diecast like toys used to be.Bad things have happened to good robots.

I just realized that I never filled in the holes on the ends of Poseidon's fingers with black paint, and as a result he hasn't been able to shoot nets out, and now, to my horror and embarrassment, his arms are all congested and full of twenty years worth of nets. And when I hurriedly took off his hands to add some paint, I noticed for the first time that the hands have L and R molded inside them.
You know, in case you forget which side the thumb goes on and you don't have a handy reference. Good on Bandai for looking out for us like that. I feel as if a massive burden has been lifted from my shoulders, now that I know that I'll still be able to properly assemble my Poseidon when I'm old and terribly senile. (So, like, next year...)
