As many of you know from my posts, I'm "sort of obsessed" with the quality of SOCs. But the real deal is are SOCs better than any other toys(specifically American ones like Transformers Energon,G.I.Joe,Die-cast model cars, etc.)in quality, despite the flaws they contain?

I presume you ask a prospective buyer. The answer is a resounding: Yes, the quality is better by far.
Buy just one first and then decide for yourself. My first purchase was all 4 of the Mazinger Angels. They each have a stand, a sword, the main figure and several accesories. For prices ranging from $35-55, each is a very good deal for the money. They are interesting to play with and display. And the quality is superb.
They can actually hold various poses unaided, and it's impressive because of their relative weight. It's like Tonka versions of sexy fembot giant robots!

Quality control is a touchy subject with me because I've had my share of Toynami product that just wasn't up to snuff. My first Valkyrie for example was missing a "light" from its wing (a clear plastic piece - it didn't actually light up). That's a sore spot for me since the thing was so expensive. For SOC, I've never had any trouble with QC. The only time something "strange" happened was my GX-02R that had dirt INSIDE the box - some of the item was dirty but the actual box was MIB! Must've been a factory problem when it was packaged... I don't know. Even the seller had no idea what I was talking about (he never opened it before he sold it to me). But other than that one - all SoC in my collection always came in absolute prestine condition. However, let's not sell short American toys either... Granted a lot of them are more cheaply made but I have rarely found any "buggy" QC issues with them. The only time I can think of when there was questionable QC on a Transformer was during the RiD line-up when Hasbro was reusing a whole bunch of old molds that clearly had outlived their usefulness... (see the reviews at www.bwtf.com to see what I mean).

And since we're on the topic of QC SOCs,can anyone post a picture of the original GX-01 Mazinger Z with their legs cracked?(If anyone all ready has one.)I'm just curious to see how it looks like.

I just got the Soul of Chogokin, GX-01, Mazinger Z and I am not noticing any cracks in the legs or anywhere else for that matter. What is the story on the cracks? I also would like to see a picture.
