Just like the many who purchased the Max Factory GGGG mine had the super tight hip joint. It never really bothered me since mine is mostly on display but when I decided to fool around with it and try some of it's accessories last night I realized just how tight that joint is. But I figured Max Factory knows about this so it would be okay to use some force to move the legs since they would be adequately designed. I was wrong, in one second I was trying out the Heaven/Hell position too having a one legged GGGG with his other leg on the ground. Yup, I managed to snap his f'n leg right off.
I freaked then I calmed myself down and went to see if I could fix it somehow. But I was shocked to see that the only thing holding GGGG's whole leg to his ball joint hip is one tiny screw and spring that attaches to a little female connector. I gathered what Little pieces I could find and then using the strongest Super Glue that works on metal I glued the whole thing back together. If I had the tools I would have loved to be able to solder the connectors and screw together, but as it is his leg stays on for now but no way in Hell am I going to be touching this figure till I can make that fix much stronger.
Now this brings me to concerns about any figure Max Factory puts out. I'm getting the Mazinkaiser this month and I heard that a GGG is in the works. But I sincerely hope they were better designed then the GGGG was or they'll end up going from the box, straight to the shelf in fear of breaking them. But who knows, Mazinkaiser will only be the second figure in the Max Gokin line and I'm sure it will incorporate some good/bad design cues from the GGGG.
