Hi, I was just curious but has anyone gotten the reissue Gx04s? I kind of noticed the other day(as someone else was buying) that the chrome seems much improved over the original release(kind of like Gx02R now..almost "mirror shiny"). I'm not sure if it was just the lighting in the shop or maybe my eyes were just tired. When I got home, I did compare the original Gx04 and the original Gx04s and the chrome was identical though. I'm just not sure about the reissue GX04S. Any info would be great. Thanks in advance . Gold

I noticed that too from pictures, the old GX-04/S looks more like the metal was buffed to a shine while the new re-issue looks chrome plated like later SOC releases. Now I want to get a re-issue GX-04S just incase they did improve the chrome.

I want to get the GX-04S reissue so I can get the Marine Spazer and Drill Spazer. The separate box set for the two Spazers were selling for ridiculous prices on the Internet. Now you can get another Grendizer for the same price.

Thanks Chen, hehe, I couldn't stand the suspense anymore and approached my local retailer with my querry, he was kind enough to let me borrow his personal Gx04S reissue from his collection and we were able to compare notes on the old Gx04s and the reissue Gx04S. -Reissue version on the left, old Gx04S on the right -Improved Chrome on the legs, arms, they're now more "mirror" shiny as opposed to the old version where it seems like it was just buffed to shine. -Improved "shafting" legs gimmick(the old one tends to get stuck). The hands also seem to have slightly lighter shade of blue. -Plus the overall paint finish seems nicer on the chest area of Grendizer. The rest of the toy(Spacers, accessories etc.) are all the same. -Other differences include a different Copyright year for the manual. -The TFO now has it's own plastic pouch(old one was just put in the styro tray, no plastic wrap whatsoever). -The box print has lighter shade of yellow coloring and the barcode is bigger and in Bold lettering now. ;D. -Everything else is pretty much the same. I can't wait to get this one! I don't have any of the previous release SOC Grendizer. I just pre-ordered it from Twin Moons yesterday. He really looks good.

Say, if this is the case with the GX-04S Reissue, can it be there's also differences between the original GX-01R and GX-01R reissue (uh, I mean, the reissue of a reissue)? Can anyone with both GX-01R post pics. Thanks!

Does it still have the "neck" thingy?

Roboto, I think the first release of GX-01R and the second release should be the same since GX-01R was already improved and nothing new with the chroming process has been done since.
00silvegt, what do you mean by "neck thingy"?
Also Gold do you know if there are Overseas and Japan versions of the new Black Shin Getter?

Chen, you know the neck thingy...How GX-04's neck flap around all loose like he's all ghetto or sumpten'. ;D
But seriously, I found that the most disappointing part...loose neck joint.

Ohh, I thought you talking about the problem some Grendizers have with tilting their heads all the way back. Yeah my Grendizers head is a little floppy, I wonder if I could pop it off and add see if I can do something.

Maybe if we can use nail polish ala Gi.Joe loose joints fix... From what i can tell it is a ball joint, maybe if it is a bit thicker it will hold?

No problem guys Roboto, I'm not entirely sure about the reissue Gx01R, I think it's essentially the same although I can't be really sure, I just got lucky and noticed the chrome when I glanced at the reissue Gx04S just as someone was opening one up to check before buying it. Sorry Chen. No idea on the black Overseas new Getter. As for the loose neck ball joint, well, depends on what one would call loose, to me it's still the same, but I didn't find the neck joint all that loose in the first Gx04, hehe. Gold
