since girls are pretty much into astrology and signs that must be why she likes him most. Dude, my atheist rationalist skepticist biologist wife would want to slap the taste out of your mouth for saying that. ;P

Maybe it's time to revive the "Hiding From the Spouse" thread.
But nobody here would try to hide a purchase, or sneak a gokin onto the shelf hoping she won't notice, and hit you with THAT LOOKTM. Or worse, hit you with the dreaded: "What did you buy this time?"
Nope, not in this crowd.
What's your best sly dog move?

JWM hey jwm, greetings bro here's my technique, i'm gona share it with you guys (but remember, you heard it first from me ;D) for example, i would buy a soc from malvin's hobby shop worth 3000 pesos ($55). i'll just tell the sales lady to make me a new sticker price at half that price or lower hehe. in this case, 1200 pesos ($22). it works everytime . and when she sees the socs in the department stores in manila at their SRP (standard retail price), i just tell her i have a "friend" in manila who imports directly from japan at half that price. and that department stores sell em this high because they have a high overhead cost. as of now, she still buys it . you can't beat this style . hehe hope this helps.

Thanks, now I remember who he is, I have purchased from him before. Nice to deal with an honest fellow Pinoy seller.

Yeah, the store that I exclusive purchase my SOC's here in Boston is Pinoy owned. It's really cool to be able to speak Tagalog while purchasing my beloved robots. It adds another level to the experience.

The Pinoy Members of RJ should really have a big EB (eye ball). It would be great if you guys who aer outside the Philippines to come back for a vacation so we can get together. It will be a fricken blast!

Yeah, this board is really great! I just recently met a Filipino doctor who is an avid SOC collector--he lives in Boston and is a RJ board member.
And yes, I'll touch base with you Pinoys back home the next time I am there. I gave a talk at a conference in Manila a couple of years ago... I wish that I was a member back then...

There was a lady robot collector here on the board when I first discovered it, but she has drifted away, as people do. I don't remember ant SOCs in her collection, but she had some rare Micronauts I envied. She had to keep telling everyone that she ALREADY had a robot collecting boyfriend. Her rather attractive avatar didn't help.
My lovely wife has always had to accept the robots - they were my obsession when we met. She fully appreciates that other, more normal husbands would spend more down on drink.

My ex collects robot toys. She has an SoC Aphrodite A and we got a Diana A for a present for both of us. I saw it uh, once. A lot of toys that used to be mine ended up hers. Eh.
