I just realized that the 26 page "Vultus" thread is almost off the front page of the Soul of Chogokin board. Not that I won't be sorry to see it go. In a way we are at the end of an era. Ever since I have been around RJ people have been obsessing over the re-issue of Voltes V. Now our pre-orders are in, or available. The only thing left is the wait, and then the predictable celebratory/complaint threads (with pictures) that will follow. And after that? Dust on the shelf All we are is dust on the shelf...So what will the next holy grail of toys be? Is there any other figure left that has anything close to the following that Voltes has? Raideen? Daimos? Dangard? Kotesu Jeeg? Ga Keen? All possible, but none are combiners. You know what I want for a big SOC combiner set? Mechandar Technical Gassin. Any other thoughts? JWM

JWM: Don't forget to add the 17 pages of "Voltes Confirmed" tread when we had those blueprints of GX-31. 17 + 26 = 43 pages & counting...
I wonder if Bandai can do a Mekanda Robot???

Mekanda sounds cool!
They can do that whole three ship combining thing, and wind up spinning shield gimmicks.
For me it's still Dangard Ace though, however remote that wish is.
SOC: Daitarn III Koutetsu Jeeg Daimos Raideen
Since we are on the subject of 'next big things...'
MH/MF: Shin/Neo Getter 2 & 3 Texas Mac Shin Dragon
;D

ON the subject of big things, there are so many versions Mazinger SOC, where is the SOC Mazinkaiser? I've seen threads about the Max Factory version and the Aoeshima version but will there be a Mazinkaiser SOC? How many pre-orders will that one get?

SOC [Bandai] has rights to the classic designs of the SR's.
Aoshima/Miracle House has the Shin Seiki Gokins (New Chogokin) Designs covered
Max Fax has [as of this posting] rights for other SR designs, and the SRW Version of Mazinkaiser.
So far that's what we know, and most likely the reason why we may never see a SOC version of Mainzkai.

Old school: the upcoming Battle Fever Robo in SoC (I can't wait to see what kind of accessories it will come with! Will they do a Battle Shark for the PX series?!) New school: Maxgokin GoDannar... old-school design for a modern anime... It got two seasons in Japan, and ADVFilms is pushing the North American DVD like mad... it's a can't miss property for toys!! Let's hope it doesn't disappear and go the way of Nadesico....

Gotta put my 2 cents in here. Raideen is still number 1 on my wish list for SOC. Mekanda would be nice, but a complete set of Machine Blaster, sorta like the Getter Team set, would be nice. Bandai could include all of them in one box, smaller scale is ok as long as they include their ships and all of their individual weapons. We all could use a little more Robo Kress and Sandaio in our lives. Leave the Mazinkaiser and new stuff to the other guys. There are far too many old school designs to rehash for Bandai to be distracted by new styles. No offense to fans of said gokins.

Man, I might be a loner on this one, but I want to see Daimos done as a SOC. He is transforming and just waaaaay cool. I also want to see Raideen done as a SOC. Raideen is just so classic and such a bad ass. He has one of the coolest faces of any of the mecha. first gen Megatron is a close second. I just miss my old shogun Daimos and Raideen.

Jeeg because I was fan of the micronauts - and all the cool acessories. (baron Kaza). Go Lion. Because I think they can do a better version then whats currently out there. (with accessories). Godannar set. (all of the robots in the godannar series!... there were a lot of cool robots besides godannar in that show). SOC Gunbuster 1 or 2.

After Voltes, it's gotta be Daimos for me, closely followed by Mekanda.

Hey guys, way back I think about two years ago. There was a blue print of Big scale Mazinger Z SOC by Bandai. Do you guys seen it or do you guys remember it? I think I saw it from Dengeki Magazine. I wonder what happened.
I can imagine right now how SOC Daimos will look like. It will be an awesome toy.

I'm just going to repeat what I said in the other post: would love to have Goshogun, Jeeg and Daimos for the standard size. For the large size, God Sigma, Go Lion or Ideon should be fine... However, I have to agree with Mechadevil - add Reideen in the standard size - He's been left out too long (must be from too much playing Super Robot Wars Alpha 3...)!!
