Hey guys... This is how I have been stacking my SOC boxes: I know that it is not ideal but this is the best that I could do. I don't have a lot of space here in my studio. My SOC's are stored in 2 beautiful glas cases though (with lights and all...).

Greetings kabayan! If it works for you then that is good. I also have my own unique way of stacking my SOC boxes but not that organized. You should post a pic of your glass cases.

Hey mazfan, I would suggest getting some clear plastic storage containers. The weight of the SOCs on top might cause slight crushing to the boxes and styrofoam for the bottom SOCs.

Kamusta ronin777. It is always great to hear from a fellow Pinoy. We're almost kapitbahays (well, kinda...). Below is my glass case with my whole collection (GX-01 to GX-29, with most of the PX's--I am missing the Akira bike).

I like your display case - it's really nice. I stacked mine also, except on top of an ugly homemade closet:

i bought a cheap cabinet with large open shelves, then i covered the front part with cloth to protect the boxes from dust.

I also keep mine in clear storage containers. None of the boxes are stacked on top of each other. But then again the boxes are full, not empty as Im still waiting to get a display case large enough to house my full collection.

Mazfan: We don't approve of that arrangement. Take it down right now! Just Kidding. JWM

I display vintage boxes as a background to the bots. Some of those old Popy, Bullmark & Takatoku boxes are as cool looking as their contents. S.O.C. boxes are kept in storage; not seasoned enough to display (yet), but too nice to discard. 20 years from now, the S.O.C. boxes will be rockin' the background.

Wow, based on your feedbacks... I feel like I am totally neglecting my boxes. The funny thing is that I sometimes get as equally excited about the boxes as the robots. However, this is the best that I could do for them. Heck, I already purchased glass cases for the SOC's.
Do you think that some folks actually throw away the boxes?

Yea, I know ppl who throw away their boxes, the reasons varies but all stupid. (I dont have enough room, it is just a toy, the box is already in beat up condition, etc...)
And BTW poor GX-03 box, u mazfan figure out something better, cockroach will make holes on ur boxes

Boxes are a funny issue. I remember seeing a special on one of those collectors' shows on cable. It was about a guy who had one of the world's most valuable toy collections. This guy had a museum. But he never saved boxes. He made a point of it in the interview. Boxes are what you give or sell to somebody else. That was how he saw it.
I keep my boxes, but most end up in a pretty haphazard stack on the closet shelves; others are boxed up and stored in the garage. I don't wrap them in plastic or go to extraordinary lengths to preserve them.
I like the idea of displaying the older stuff with the boxes. I wish I had the space to do it. As it is I have only one display case, and it's a bookshelf at that. Too, I like to put the SOC pieces out with the stands and all the accessories. I always have the power jacks plugged into the Evangelions, and tethered to the base. Displaying the bases eats up a lot of room, but I'm anal about stuff like that. One day I'll get a real glass display case- a store fixture with sliding doors, fluorescent lights, and a mirror back. I've been promising that to myself for a long time.

i have my boxes boxed up, and kept in a closet in the garage, i think it will be better i buy plastic containers...
BUT wouldn't the chemicals permeating from the PLASTIC boxes available at walmart or target kinda destroy prints from the boxes? I thnk the plastic bins/boxes are not ARCHIVAL ...like protecting photos where you need archival containers...
