If you only had money for one, not both, which one would you get? I like them both. The GX-04S is pretty impressive. The GX-31 is crazy cool. oh well.

I like them both too but since you can only get one I would probably go for the gx-04s. Don't get me wrong guys but since the gx-31 just came out there is a better chance of mazingagoo to purchase one later. The gx-04s is already on a reissue and I'm willing to bet there will be no more reissue of it. Just my two cents.................

good thinking. Bandai may even release a GX-31R. I guess there has been issues with some of the paint finish. If I wait, it could be a good thing. In the meantime I can get the GX-04R. Thanks

The question is do you want to display it or play with it? I haven't watched either anime of these two and own them both, so from my point of view both you and whomever you show it to will be wowed more by the gx-04s. For me having the voltes in my possession was just about as exciting as looking at the pictures online (I'm not knockin' it I bought two!), but when you set up the gx-04s you will be very impressed and happy with your purchase. If you prefer combiners and handle your toys frequently then it's gx-31 all the way.

Hmmm, that's a hard one... gimme a sec... GX-31... Why? Coz it's bigger, a combiner, fun to play with, very sturdy, almost perfect & it's Voltes V!!! But really, it all comes down to who you like better... Listen to that little voice inside you saying, "...I wannna wanna _____...! "

Heh heh... It's a tough choice. I'd say that you get the Grendizer first, since it's been quite a while since the reissue. Then get the Voltes when you have the opportunity. But it seems that the price for the GX-31 has risen quite steeply from the SRP, and the item was sold out in HLJ less than a week after its release...
Note: GX-04S King of Space Set height approx. 18,5 - 19 cm. Lots of gokin and accessories (spazer, double spazer, drill spazer, marine spazer), shooting arms and weapons (just be careful when inserting the harken blade to the poles, because if you insert it wrong it will crack the rubber pole), stand. Poseability: almost a brick. Minimum leg movement range (mine is kinda unstable). Shelf presence: 9,5 out of 10.
GX-31 Voltes height approximately 25,5 - 26 cm. Lots of gokin, including the 5 combining volt machine (realized in almost anime perfection, although the tank cockpit is hollow). Great poseability (leg movement range is quite impressive, plut it's stable due to the big feet). Almost all weapons are included (too bad only one gatling missile) - including the big shiny tenkuuken! Also included is the mechanical eagle, so you can re-enact the scene where Voltes received the Chodenji Ball powerup (no diecast, tho). Shelf presence is 8,5 out of 10, side to side with Combattler becomes 9 out 10, and added with Daimos will become 10 out of 10!!

For me it's Voltes since it's more poseable compared to Grendy. Gold

Voltes V for sure! The Grendy is quite expensive too...but judging from the scarcity point of view yeah...you may consider getting it first follow by Voltes V. Another option, get a loan so u can get them both!! Now you only have one worry instead of two: how to pay off your loan?
