I don't know man... I wanted to get CM's GGGG, but after reading the thread about Quadruple G, I'm kind of shying away from it... I mean, there are quite a few critical flaws such as not standing up correctly, loose joints, sections on the wings (or anywhere for that matter) can be easily broken off... For $200.00???... I don't know if I wanted to invest that much on something like that to be inducted into my collection (like my Dancouga GX-13R, which I'm very disappointed)... But I must admit, the looks are very impressive. On the other hand, I'm getting my Aqaurion GE-01 today and I can't really give any of my opinions on it (because I don't wanna stir another controvery... hehehe!!!!) well because I haven't held the actual toy before, but I've read the reviews and they're quite impressive. That's why I was thinking of getting the GD-99 Aquarion as well. I don't know... Does anyone have any inputs between these two??? Personal opinions between the two... What's not covered on the thread about these two.... Or, if you want to have some fun, does anyone care to bash me on this matter? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D OR

So you're not asking... you already chose.... typical of these threads, if you're undecided, get both.

So you're not asking... you already chose.... typical of these threads, if you're undecided, get both. well, i am undecided... i'm just trying to get a feel which is REALLY worth $200.00. i mean i spent almost $500.00 on a Dancouga (R version) toy and i thought i was ripped off in a way, since all they did was repainted the existing line and not bother fixing up the flaws it had: such as the head not staying on and the hands not staying on firmly and securely... and i'm starting to feel Quadruple G is another waste of money... but then again, these are based from what i've read... not from personal experiences....

I have the Dancouga first version and I never had those problems that you mentioned. Sometimes it can be a hit or miss thing. One toyline I am definitely not buying anymore is the Toynami line, very poor quality control in that company, that much I can say.

Just beware, the Aquarion is a really floppy guy. If solidity is your thing, I would not get Aquarion. In fact, just as an engineering rule of thumb that I think very much applies to gohkin figures also, the more moving parts something has , the more potential it has of getting broken or having defects. My main beef with Aquation in Alpha mode is that the top half and the bottom half do not have a secure connection. The top pops out very easy, which could actually be a good thing in a way, because with the Aquarion being top heavy this means that the connection won't break, it will just pop out instead, but it's really annoying when you are trying to pose him.

I only got the GGGG, skipped on Aquarion because I didn't like the series and hearing that the Aquarion required the stand to "prop up against" really turned if off for me. Plus the look of the mech didn't really help to impress.
Diecast content wise the GGGG has more diecast parts(I think) and GGGG is heavier than the Aquarion by more or less 200Grams(according to a friend who measured the Aquarion's weight for me) and the only major problem for me were with the GGGG the knees(they should've used ratchet joints) but it can stand, just requires positioning the legs right. GGGG also has more shelf presence than the Aquarion.
Oh and to get the "Infiinte Punch" accessory for Aquarion you have to get the "Army Mass produced" version of the mech. Since it wasn't included with the first Aquarion's release.

Get cms gggg! i have both cms gggg and also aquarion. aquarion is easily forgotten and i canĀ“t even say the stand is a problem because even if it didnt need the stand i would have the very same opinion about it. and gggg stands ok and you will only break the small shoulder parts if you are not careful. you only need to really lok at the manual. mf gggg that has a lot of diecast also is a fragile figure.

Is aquarion worth money besides the final combined connection issue?

Is aquarion worth money besides the final combined connection issue? well, personally if you ask me... no... i don't think it's even worth the money... just save your money and purchase something else.

yea.. i do not think Aquarion GD-99 worth the $200 usd too. CM's GGGG is a much better buy.
