Is there a reason why the SG-12 is more expensive (other than being limited edition 1,500 pieces). I would like to get the SG-10 normal version because the colors are more anime accurate. Is the SG-12 a newer design with more die-cast content oslt? Anyone? Thanks!

I don't think its a matter of more diecast. They are the same toy with just different color schemes. I myself like the normal colored one because of the anime accuracy.

I was wondering because I was checking the weight of the different Aoshima Kaisers. New Century Gohkin, Mazinkaiser (black wing) = 1.50 Kg Mazinkaiser (Kawai Shokai Version) = 1.30 Kg New Century Gohkin, SG-10 Mazinkaiser, Black Ver.=1.40 Kg New Century Gohkin, SG-12 Mazinkaiser, Purple Ver.=1.40 Kg Mazinkaiser (Metalic Color Version)=1.30 Kg ummmmmm why do they weight different if they are the same toy? But yeah, the SG-10 and SG-12 seem to be the same toy

There all the same and a 10 gram difference could be just based on production variances or paint aps.

I remember measuring the Miracle house Mazinkaiser a while back(the original Black Wing) it was roughly only 680 grams wings off and only 800 grams wings on. I'll have to recheck but I seriously doubt it touched the 1Kilogram weight margin let alone reach 1.5 Kilos.
The General Dark figure is bigger and weighs only 1.1 Kilograms if I remember right.

it is probably shipping weight and that would include packaging, box, special gifts, etc. It could explain the discrepancy in weight. I got those from algolz.com
but anyhow, I placed my order for the Aoshima SG-10 normal color version.
