My house is filled with boxes right now. Not sure why some brothers here threw the box away or pack it with 4 or 5 layers (both too extreme for me) ... ... Haha, I know...

Ah, the perrenial Box Thread. I remember seeing a segment on one of those collectors' shows of some guy who had one of the world's biggest toy collections. He never saved the boxes. I always save the boxes, especially since I have very little display space and I have to rotate the collection periodically. It does get to be a pain as far as storage space. But I'm not a fanatic about keeping them ultra super mint. The one thing you can't escape- toys retain a market value. That value is always higher if the toy retains its original box.

I'd like to keep all of my boxes. This is one of the reasons why I don't go outside of the Soul of Chogkin line. In short, I don't have room to store all of the boxes--they take up more space than the actual robots. I like this, it keeps me disciplined.

i keep all my boxes because of the following: value the ability to look back twenty years later and see those features that the box illustrates. appreciating the art from that era reopening the box again like it was new .. reliving the experience item protection ( if you move, its a must) visual eye candy. it is great to have display with box nestled behind it. shows the item off fairly well referencing. the box on many toys acts as great references( i collect also r/c and it proves to be invaluable.)

I just keep the box only because just in case i loose interest in the robots, I can sell them for at least close to what i bought them for...or maybe more :-)

right manny, many robots have 2-3 couples of hands or harms, impossible to display everything!

I actually try display all of the accessories with the bots particularly for the SOCs I always like mimicing the usually picture on the box of the bot decked out with all of its accessories, kind of enhances the "museum feel" ;D

I throw away almost all SOC-boxes! They are boring and take too much space. I keep accessories in a drawer. Of course I keep all old (70s, 80s) boxes, like Popy. They are beautiful. One exception is the UniFive DAikyozin. Really nice box that I'll never throw away. Are you willing to donate your SOC boxes? I would be happy to have them
