He was going for close to $200 when 1st released. I got mine for $160 shipped. Damn, that's a good deal.... I gotta pick up 2 more. EDIT STRIKE 2: Just found out that Bandai launched the upcoming Aquarion OVA's website: Trailer: Official website: www.aquarion.info/ova/index.htmlI'm guessing that Bandai is reissuing Aquarion to coincide with the OVA release.

The Aquarion is really nice, even if it can't stand on its own. $129 is a really good deal for those who don't have it yet. I wonder if they'll reissue the Assault version for the same price. I don't have that one yet, but for 129 I would!

I sold my Assault Aquarion a few months ago.
But for a price of $129 the regular Aquarion is too tempting to pass up.

Why didn't Bandai make this an SOC?

It was too new, Bandai usually waits atleast a few years after the show is over before considering it as a SOC just like what they did with Legend of Daiku Maryu Gaiking.

Got these from BBTS when they were first released at about $200. I couldn't believe it when it when I received their newsletter saying it will now be 130!!?? Seriously, I hate when $h!+ like this happens. Talk about buyers remorse. Does anyone feel my pain? Well hopefully they will re-release the attack version for a lower price as well.

That's a sweet setup Tsurugi. If BBTS holds up to the $130 price tag I might just have one like that too. ;D
And yeah, we need more Assault Aquarions!

What makes the attack version different?

I wouldn't be surprised if these are leftovers from the initial run that didn't sell because of bad press etc. My guess is that the price reduction is to liquidate the stock and try to at least recoup production costs due to lack of sales? The Aquarion figure wouldn't seem to be popular enough to do another press run. It is crap for those that paid full price, but Bandai probably just wants to clear out their inventory?
