You can sell or trade for less than what you paid for, but unless you get your SOCs from Costco, then a full refund is not realistic. All you can do is chalk it up as "lesson learned" and learn to live with having a toy you don't like. As in real life, you will have to live with decisions you made for yourself, granted not all of them will always result as you expected. Do further research before you have that impulse to buy a toy you're not particularly fond of and buy the ones you do like and or are familar with.

Best thing to do is to put it up for trade on this forum. Maybe the gx-30 and some other undesired piece in your collection will allow you to get something more acceptable. I wouldn't put it on ebay at this time as you would probably take a loss on it.

these dudes are right- put it up in the TRADES section- the people who trade here are very cool+fair.
you could also do a BUY IT NOW on eBay for exactly what you paid for it- if youre in the states SOMEBODY will bite on it at some point.
I always wait for a review w/pics from somebody on this forum before i buy a SOC or any bot $50+ unless i know what it is (vintage godakin etc) (well except for the Voltes base)
i know of no website or store which will accept a open SOC return (or ANY open toy of any type) just because you didn't like it. that's the price you pay for being an "early adopter" bro.

Just keep it nice and sell it on ebay later when the supply runs low. You might be surprised by how much you might get back. Even if you lose some money in the end, its still better than seeing a robot you hate with a passion everyday and taking up your precious IKEA shelf space.
Just sell it or trade it later. No worries.

LOL
I would not even be brave enough to calculate what is spent on my hobby. I may have a heart attack and die! I tried doing the calculation for my video games, these were before the greatest hit s stuff, but I had to stop after I reached the cost of a 1991 Nissan 300ZX Turbo!

I sold the bulk of my toy collection years ago for the downpayment on my first house.

Oh man <LOL>... seriously, with the few (and growing) amount of hauls I currently have-- if I calculate the money I spent on them, I probably could affort to take a three-week Leave Of Absence from work...
...and spend That money buyin figures! ;D
