Does anyone have actual pictures of this toy? I've searched the net and I can only find pictures of the box. I want to view the actual toy. I learned about gamera accidentally, knowing that this guy is a turtlemade me like him even more... aside from collecting robot, Ive been a turtle lover ever since I can remember.....

Man what I wouldn't give for a SOC version of Godzilla, you could have both the original first movie version and the last "Final Wars" version.
But to keep on track I much prefer the older look of Gamera, this new one is a little too "soft" looking for me.

Also have to agree on the looks of the new compared to the old, fierce Gamers....I'd probably still get one though, if the price is right. ;D And thanks for the link Gort....

I have 2 of these. Gamera has always been one of my favorite kaiju. This version is soft because he is still a young Gamera. Bet on the next film being darker and more violent. Gamera will have grown into the fierce city-stomping creature you remember. If you have a chance, check out the film that this version toy is based on. The reason for the look is explained and will remove the doubt from your mind.

The reason why I wanted this toy is because I luv sulcatas. I personally keep 4 of them at home. The eldest is 4 years old, the other 2 are 1 year old and the youngest was hatched last April 8. Pics below: (my version of Gamera) And look at this toy: www.hlj.com/product/FAV47066 , so cute!

Myself and my girlfriend fostered 3 three 1 year old African Leopard tortoises recently (part of a 200 striong batch seized at customs last year, couldn't take them all though). We had no knowledge of these creatures before we took them in ( reason we got them is cos my girlfriend is badly allergic to most animals, so these seemed like a viable pet) but they have quickly estabblished themselves as loved members of the household with distinct personalities and tastes. I convinced her to let me name them so we got Cthulhu (the adventurous one), Shub Niggurath (the small quirky one) and Dagon (the large, but timid one)...and the thing that tickles me most about these guys? They go nuts for broccoli!!!....

Nice tortoises!! I love the well defined, symmetrical shells and the spiky legs.
I agree with Chen, this Gamera is too cute looking. The last Gamera movie I saw was a few months ago, when he fought Legion. Now that was a badass Gamera!!

I think it's one of the two in his wishlist.......... the other being a black asian Aldabra (altough makes me wonder where would he put this guy in I think our garden's too small for an Aldabra)........ as of now we have 5 breeds in our home...... Sulcata, Indian Star, Yellow Footed, Red Footed and the Radiated Star........ my dad picked tortoises over Koi..... since it's much cheaper to feed (veggies)...... easier maintanance (just hose them, and sweep their wastes)....... and their a great help in lawn mowing (some likes to eat bermuda grass).......

Hey, those are cute tortoises! Don't let 'em get near a Gamera SOC or they might try to mate with it! ;D I really enjoyed the Gamera in the "Legion" movie... ...it had it's own version of the "Breast of Fire" weapon that was really awesome! And "flight wings" in its front limbs ... now That is Badass!!! zozo-Magengar

Lucky you! Were the tortoises' parents imported or locally bred? I really want to experience breeding them.

Lucky you! Were the tortoises' parents imported or locally bred? I really want to experience breeding them. That I dunno bro...... but my dad bought the parents in manila and was shipped here i'm sure his "source" would not divulge info where he got his supply ;D......... so they were already adult size the male was around 20 inches and female 18 inches...... at first dad had a hard time hatching the eggs.... he even bought an incubator which costs him a lot and to no avail....... so we let her lay her eggs on the ground..... then another problem came up.... our soil was kinda the Hard kind in which rain and sun would turn it into clay-like hardness.......... it was until I suggested that we should dig and replace the soil with fine sand where we had success in getting babies...... In breeding, when they are ready you will know bro...... they are like rabbits......... they would breed everyday.......... hehehe
