This is great! Nice add to the SOC line. I'm surprised that they chose Baikanfu first over Gardian, but I'm glad they did, just for the sake of unpredictability and keeping the SOC line surprising. I'm excited to see how they engineer it, and how they pull off the articulation. Very cool.

I hope it is nice, big and heavy, so I can save my money on the Poppy Gardian. Russian doll SOC rules!!!!! EDIT; just realised, he is going to be big (250mm) similar to a 1/48 valk, I am so happy....

This is such awesome news. I've actually been hoping for this for a couple of years now, having watched, and enjoyed, the show.
The original Baikanfu is also very elusive. I've only seen one or two on ebay, and maybe a couple of knock offs. They're pretty hard to come by. I'm sure this will, no doubt, be a worthy substitute for Machine Robo fans such as myself to have a Baikanfu toy to stand along with the other MR toys.
I am VERY happy to hear this, and can't wait to see actual toy photos. I am so gonna buy this one when it comes out.

I'm not familiar with this one, but I've had the DX Gardian when I was a kid, and was one of my Faves, since it looks like it's from the "Gardian" Family, it's a welcome SOC! BTW, is it just me, or is Bandai really pushing up GoDaikin sized SOC's these days?

If it doesn't transform, I will skip it (and my wallet will be more than happy).

Well, it's not really a transforming character. Baikanfu is more supernatural. The only type of transformation it should have is having each smaller robot combining into the next larger one. In that sense, and by looking at the blueprint, it should be "transformable". So now that they're willing to explore the Machine Robo universe, I hope they'll eventually do the smaller main characters like Blue Jet, Rod Drill, or even Jim, maybe in the same size and complexity as SOC Xabungle. Or how about a Devil Satan 6!!! Pleeeeeeease!!!!! Oh yeah, and hopefully they later apply this design to a new Gardian too.

Yap, it is like a Russian doll, with diecast... Well, it's not really a transforming character. Baikanfu is more supernatural. Gardian too.

Wow, a Russina doll-like robot. What a cool concept. I don't have that kind. I will definitely get this! Iron Gear as well. SOC is the best!

So this is not Gardian? But I thought he was the origin of the Russian doll gimick!?? I prefer his design.
