I finally decided on the Layzner over the Xabungle. Glad I got this figure. Since I'm a fan of Gundams, I like that it was designed by Kunio Okawara (who also designed Xabungle I believe). It seems to have a lot in common with Gundams except for the clear canopy over the head. Great articulation and poseability. Decent diecast content. I like the inclusion of two whole sets of armor. The backpack has several points of articulation. Overall, very nice. Just wish it came with the atmospheric flight accessory (the wings that are included in the Kotobukiya version).

I finally got this robot. It took me a long time. Okay, the main reason why I got it is because God Mars is not out yet. I paid full price and the box is in really poor condition. It's my birthday and I need to open an SOC!!! I need an SOC fix and i opt to do anything... Oh yeah, I still have Iron Gear to open. Wow, 2 SOC's for my birthday (technically God Mars is my birthday gift but it has not arrived yet).
Oh yeah... This might be the only SOC that I will display with its display stand. It has sound. I am really excited about this.

I know I am late to the Layzner party. I just picked one up this past weekend in San Francisco at CCC Central on Geary. Great price and I have to say he is well worth getting if you do not have him already. Decent metal content all through his inner frame and all the armor pieces are very well made. He is very poseable and actually has a nice little heft to him. My only complaints would be as someone above already stated, getting the shoulder armor pieces on is a pain. I found it easiest to remove his arms altogether and install the armor. I could get a better grip on everything this way. The other minor gripe is that the armor tends to fall off very easy. His armor in the groin section, the thrusters on the chest armor, etc. Once he is all together though and you are not fiddling with installing armor pieces everything is fine. Great detail, opening hatches everywhere, great looking weapons, talking base, he is definitely worth the purchase. Here is a comparison pic Mojacko

I really love my pec SPT Layzner. I didn't expect to like it so much. It's making me want to get all the non-EVA Specs (I have one of these guys and all 6 SOC's--that's enough).

YEah I feel the same way. I am already scoping out the Dragonar and the Salena (I may have misspelled both of those!). Dragonar looks just as good as the Layzner and the Black Salena just looks wicked in my opinion.
