I'm on the fence with armada.
On one hand, i have played with them, and they are fun. I don't care much for the minicon gimmicks though.
One the other hand, I think they are ugly as hell. Well, optimus is ok, but they seem like a throwback to the machine wars line. They are quite a dissapointment compared to the car robots line.
I doubt I'll collect them. I consider them Toy crack, and I have a lot more important things to buy.

I purchased a few for some future reviews. I have been impressed so far and think kids LOVE them. They just fly off the shelves of our local Target and Toys R Us. That, to me, is the ultimate statement about the line.
Kids love 'em ;D

i once considered collecting them but after buying a few i got very dissapointed. the only TF Armada figure that i enjoy playing or displaying is super prime. i don't know i am a sucker for prime. i give both Armada super prime and small prime as " B+" class toys. as for jetfire and megatron i give them an "C". all other are just junks, with an "D-" rating. i think the TF armada line will do well for ppl under 13 years old not old collectors like up.

I think some of the upcoming ones look great, but most of the ones out now look a little cheap and overly simplistic.

Kids in our town think they're great. My cousins don't know anything about the old TF. They just love the new Armada toys and don't know better

They are starting to look more like Gobots to me instead of a Transformer , it's like the transformation is forced or boring.

Otaru, Do you think the transformations of the mini-cons are boring or they ALL are boring The Mini-cons are just gobots, yes, I agree. The larger toys though have a charm in my eyes.

Not all , I think Optimus has it going, articulation and aesthetics, but most seems like their robot mode were forced, some don't look humanoid unlike the G1. It is like the vehicle or what ever mode they are in is just like a shell that breaks open to reveal the robot, unlike G1 where in that shell is actually a part of the transformation. I think I'm not making sense the heat is getting to me hahaha I like a transformer like Sally tho ;D www.designassembly.com/

I picked up a japanese armada prime mainly because I liked the box art and I liked it's look in truck form. The only other ones that I'm slightly interested in are jetfire and megatron.
Does anyone have any links to sites that sell the japanese versions of armada jetfire and/or megatron?

I'm old school so I prefer the G1 TF's than the newer ones. I stayed clear of the Armada line simply because the transformations look forced, and the robot modes look awkward. Armada [Starscream] is probably the worst I've seen. I like Sally better
