What robot designs do you consider just plain "unique" ? (Pictures appreciated). For instance I can't get over how weird the Ramble Giant design is by Takemi. www.robotjapan.com/ramble_giant.htm-Ed

IIRC Logan's Run was a live action movie, though I don't recall if it was sci fi or something else.

Logan's run was out in about 1977, that was about the same year . Interesting...... .

It may seem silly, but I've always been impressed by the PR Astro Megazord's ability to become a round spaceship:

You are right there! I too was impressed. In fact I have a photo shoot of that toy that one day -wince- I need to post. Not only does he become a round ship, but the robot looks good too -E

Gattai Hyakkiju, the final enemy robot from Getta Robo G. It took them three episodes to beat him. He was five robots combined into one and it was definitely unlike any other robot combination I'd ever seen. Could be my favorite robot of all time. www.cooljapanesetoys.com/images/articles/2003/030305/02.jpgHe's pictured here second from the right.
