Man that Black Majinkaizer is purty! My toy supplier sez he'll be getting these babies by early June. Shibby!

Which toy is that black/gray Valk? The airplane looks great! Admin-dude, that would be the "first" custom colored Valkyrie from Yamato. It's the "Low-Vis" VF-1A Valkyrie. Painted, apparently, using regular military aircraft colors. The other grey plane is the Supersylph from Yukikaze.

The Supersylph from Yukikaze is the weird one to me, thanks Onmi. What do you think of its design? To me it has great lines

Anytime Admin-dude I love the Supersylph designs. I haven't watched the anime yet, but the design speaks for itself. If I have a chance to get these kits from Bandai, I will. Gonna be doing custom colors, but that's just me ;D

Unfortunately Josh, as funky and as cool as it looks, it doesn't transform. IIRC, Shouji Kawamori (Macross) also had a hand in the design (not too sure about this though, I may be thinking of some other anime), so it would have been really cool if it was henkei.

Yamato QA issues aside, I'm definately planning on getting the transforming Escaflowne; I like that mecha too much not to. Of course I'm just going to have to live wth the fact I'll transform it once and then never touch it again for fear I might break something. The Aoshima Mazinkaiser looks nice, I've seen pictures of their previous red wing version, but never handled one. What's it made from? Diecast? ABS? The Low Vis Valk is cool, but I don't think can justify another 1/48 Valk to myself unless they build something other than a VF-1A/S. Similarly like the FAST pack, but I'm not sure my Valk needs them enough at the price... Hmm, maybe I'm just being cheap.

From some reviews I've read at ToyboxDX, the Aoshima Mazinkaiser toys are nearly 100% diecast. Read it here: www.toyboxdx.com/rumble_plus/271002-mazinkaiser.htmlAs for the Low-Vis, I'm getting two if I can. I'll also be getting the FP's since my Valks look nekkid without them.
