Say you won a toy and its sticker has wear on it. Do you peel of the stick and clean it of. Or do you keep it on. I tend to peel it of. Unless I find out that the sticker was hiding screws underneath.

I'd remove the tatty looking sticker. Ever notice the only stickers that seem to last (and look really good) are those thin 'foil'/shiny stickers that come with/on some toys?

I look at old, worn stickers as being part of a vintage toy's charm. I leave them as-is.

Peel and replace ;D
Though I usually cut with a blade the peeling part before it affects the whole sticker.

Hmm.... I don't tend to purchase toys with torn or worn stickers too often. I tend to be a perfectionist when it comes to the TOY (not the box). I like to see the markings in all the original glory.
When I do get the torn stickers I try to leave them alone (usually they are not too bad).

the stickers are ususally the biggest tell tale sign of the condition of the toy for me. even some toys have a great box, and the guy will claim mib, then they show the toy and the stickers will be peeling all sorts of ways when possible i like to have the stickers intact or i'd probably make a replacement. it is only some adhesive paper afterall.
