As far as innovation, complexity, show accurate here is my humble list.
1)Studio Halfeye Perfect Getter Robo(3 ships to change to all three robots) 2)Master Piece Takara Prime 3)Binaltech Smokescreen 4)Yamato 1/48 Valkrie 5)SOC Dancougar 6)Yamato 1/60 yf-19 7)Yamato 1/60 yf-217 8)DX Voltes V 9)Studio Half Eye Escaflowne 10)Perfect Grade Gundam Wing Zero
was thinking about putting another SOC but I don't really think Maz and the others could beat the ones in the list as far as innovation.

The "show accurate" is the rub. Tough. I find that all older TOYS were not that show accurate. Hmmm.....must think. Newer robots are mostly accurate.... -How about the Diaclone Great Robot Base? I believe it had a comic (maybe not a show), but it was dead on with the drawings. -You have GOT to consider the Super Valkyrie from Takatoku with armor as one of the best (1982). -- How about Golion from Popy? -- New-- Master Piece Prime --Popy DX Yamato (chogokin and BIG SCALE). -- Voltes V

Even in the 'bathtub-played-and-sandbox-buried-for ten-years' condition mine is in, GRB is still the best toy I own, for those categories. Ward

I'll go for the 1/48 Valks by yamato and the Binaltech Smokescreen, both aesthetically pleasing in vehicle and robot mode.

Well my list is mostly of recent releases, but considering primarily the engineering and not necessarily how fun the toy is I'd pick (in no particular order):
- SOC Dancougar - Binaltech Smokescreen - Gourai Senpuujin - Yamato 1/48 Valks
They all impressed me either with complecity of transformation or combinations.
All those are pretty recent not much more than a year old at most. I feel I should put something older in there. I'd say that a number of members of the SOC line impress with their build.
