Just got it today.. I didn't have a chance to go last week.. but I could have gotten it earlier but oh well. But its fantastic.. I just opened it now.. and just examined all of the parts.. as soon as I put together
Catipillar traction is wicked! rubbertreads.. really move! the knee caps are different.. they're ball jointed! And the missiles at the back really shoot off!(very light.. they go about a foot.. umm but I would recommend to do it on carpet.. only cause I'm scarred the paint might scratch off!.. only critique.. should have come with spares) oh and the cyclone .. you're is able to rotate (too bad that parts only plastic)...
Plastic parts are the head, head of the plane *planes head comes off so you can join it with Dragon to make the half transformation!* Missile plus Missile cannisters. Hands. and the inside of the cannister. Oh and the inside wheels and tracks of Calliber (traction).. the hood of it is metal though.
and the rest of it .. DIECAST METAL BABY!
Ok now to finally take all of my Gettarobo G's out of the box and display them together!

I have to admit sometimes the anticipation is as fun as having it.
oh I just noticed as well.. the hip is able to do a back to foreward rotation.. so he can do his "shoulder missile" attack as he leans foreward.

yeah.. the only fault of the joint of being ther though... is that its hard to attach the hip (kind of like Getter Dragon's kneck to head joint) wiggles around so much its hard to get it in.
I wish all the waist joints were easier to snap in.. my only gripes

It's an amazing looking bot, but as Kidchuckle mentioned the hip joint is a problem; a far worse problem than any shin split or color mis-match. Once posed, Poseidon does fine, but if you dare to touch him, that hip joint pops out like a Jack-in-the-box. I guess like in a few SOC's, the problem may be more obvious in some than others. Once posed though, you'd be hard pressed to find a tougher looking S.O.B.

Well I've finally been able to slot in the hip.. its a bit tricky to wedge in .. yes it does slip out a bit.. but if you're gentle it seems to be ok. I wish they figured out a better hip joint connection... but its still not too bad...
JB - the hip connector (the little black nobbing thing.. you can have it bend foreward and backwards... thus rotating the upper torso (foreward and backward)

The hip joint snaps in easily (I don't need to press the black button), but pops back out just as easily. Just gently leaning his torso forward will cause it to pop out of place. Hopefully, this is not prevalent in most Poseidons; if it is, then the unit is worthy of a recall (it's that bad).

Hmm Jb actually I had problems like that in the begining.. I think the peg is a little stiff.. but after many attempts.. it has gotten much easier to put in. Plus I find holding down the button.. and pushint the peg in.. until it is firmly snug in and releaseing the button...
its mostly the peg thats a big (the top of the base goes in easy, but the lower base of the peg is a bit bigger. so its hard to put in)... it does eventually go in.. I must have tried lots of times.. but now it goes in pretty smoothy...

I think you're misunderstanding me. Putting it in is not the problem (you get more resistance from a $15 hooker); the problem is keeping it in. It pops out just as easily as it goes in. Just slightly moving his upper torso in any direction will cause mine to pop out of place.

Oops sorry.. well there is a bit.. I havn't found it touch sensititive.. but you're right its not as strong I would like it...but I havn't found it to slidey...
actually I found mine was a Biatch.. to slide in when I first got it! it was very difficult to slip in... it fits in easier... after a couple of tries.. but I don't think it slides out as easily as you're saying though.

Just got my poseidon. Some quick thoughts:
- Damn is hea heavy! - No waist problems - head is very tight - can barely get it to move once on. - Legs require a lot of force to snap on. - What, no net? - The missiles should pivot forward like in the old chogokin toy. - Im suprised they went with removeable treads for the legs. I'm sure they could have engineered something. - no place on the base to store the treads. Bandai is cheaping out by using the same base for all 3 getter g's.
All in all - my favorite SOC so far.

Finally got mine and he was worth the wait.
That said - I can't add much to what's been said - nice weight, connecting hips takes a while to get right.
Like him a lot really need to find the time to take some photos of the whole team.

Mine is on the way from Hong Kong, along with the Liger. (my first puchase from e-bay, or from overseas) I've read several complaints about the waist joint. What did you do to fix it? JWM

The waist joint isn't so bad - it just doesn't take too much force to disconnect it. If you get it firmly in place to begin with it's less of a problem.
Basically it's a matter of pushing it firmly into place and ensuring the holding ring is properly gripping it. As others have mentioned you don't really need to slide the holding ring out of the way with the button on the back - easier just to push the legs onto the body.
