There's actually a big surplus of those Panda Z figures around S.K. When I first saw it I was like `COOL' and then I saw it absolutely everywhere. ... now that over exposure has made me lose my appeal for him.

I am in the same boat as well. Cancelled my previous order to save money on the SOC T-28 I purchased, but end up ordering it again from HLJ after seeing the pics and positive feedbacks online. Afterall, it is a very nice, simple, sturdy diecast robot with are harder to find these days. SOC and the likes are great. But not many of them can be handled a lot before the joints getting loose. This Panda Z on the other hand, looks like it can be handled a lot, due to its simplicity. Can't wait. I broke down and ordered one this week as well. ;D He is currently in "limbo" the place where toys go and take a loong time to arrive to your house right after they are ordered from HLJ......

Does it occur to the small panda pilots that there may be even smaller pandas inside their heads, controlling them?

This little sucker ROCKS!!! And awesome chogokin retro box art too!
Just got this from the mail today, and boy was it fun. It may not be super poseable, but it ooz quality all over. Very nicely painted and the joints very well built, either ratchet or reinforced with spring inside to minimize looseness. The shooting punch shoots decent with a oversized spring. Small it may seem, but heavy for its size, and the whole thing feel so solid you'll love to play with it and move it around.
Only grip I have is I wish the magnet for the wing is a bit stronger, and wish there was some peg or magnet even to secure Pan Taron on the seat, as he keeps falling off whenever I try to handle Panda Z. This is one of the few modern chogokin toy that you will actually hold it and fly it around in your room, making whooosh whoooosh sound ;D
Great toy that comes in a relatively low price!
