Really Awesome.
Aoshima usually comes up with items that almost 100% metal so this baby will be expensive, specially since the APV will be sold separately (I hope he is heavby diecast).
Let's hope that a flll set will cost in the range of $150 and not $200+, as I expect...

No one has seen a release date for this drop ship yet right? Any sites with a preorder?

I haven't seen any sites yet with pre-orders, but a good bet would be www.hlj.com.

heh heh... I just remembered I told the GF, "my new years resolution is to spend less on robots", at least with this I'm not going against that resolution.
Really I can't wait till May, hopefully it comes out in time...

What are the differences between the dropships and the carriers besides the figures? Thanks in advance.

i don't think there is a difference between the two, except for the figures included. But the dropship 02 was labelled limited edition and the other one as standard edition .. i have preordered both incl the apc though ... can't wait

I just picked up this bad boy today from Ages Three and Up. I purchased the Regular versions of both the APC and the Dropship. The first thing I can say about both is that they are very well made, are very true to the movie and both are heavy. Lots of die-cast here folks.
The only difference between the two versions that I have seen is that the regular dropship has some nice weathering effects applied and has a pilot figure with it. The limited version does not have the weathering. I prefer the weathered look rather than the "new" look of the limited one. There are also some minor differences with the printed details ( 01 instead of 02 and the graphic on the cockpit area is different.
The APCs are the same aside from the figures that come with them.
Both are very nice pieces. A worthwhile purchase.
Cheers. ;D
