We've all seen the high profile items coming out but here's a link to some of the more obscure stuff at Wondefest. All I can say is the Japanese have some funky tastes when it comes to collectables. mimibukuro.ddo.jp/img/WF2005-summer/

I saw a bad-azz looking Getter 1 next to the EVA 01 Test Type, lots of frogs and some half naked babes, interesting... ;D
Any idea what manufacturer made that Getter 1?
Thanks for the link Chen!

Kaiyodo makes those figures, I'm guessing there like the Getter Robo and Jeeg trading card figures that came out awhile ago since there seems to be clear and silver versions. You noticed the frogs too, what about all the cats. What's up with that? Weird.

I love the Japanese aesthetic sense to take things to such an extreme. It's like Hallmark in the Twilight Zone. All of the cute little chicks the Japanese produce is bizzarre, but they are cute. Did you guys catch those compact flash card holders in the shape of brains? Awesome.

Probably that New Getter1 is like the Kaiyodo Getter1 'shin getter vs neo getter' version (about 15 cm).

They could be like the Getter Robo and Gaogaigar Museum something figures. We'll have too wait and see, I just figured they were those trading card figures because of the variant colors which normally mean there will be in blind packaging like the last Getter Robo trading figures. But if they are larger scale figures maybe they will have some diecast in them.

Chen, I do hope they are in large scale die cast (or non) figure because that is one tough looking Getter 1 to me, love the bulky arms and legs design and the small back wings on his shoulder, not to mention, nice paint job too... man oh man hope it's posable too But you could be right about the trading figure part... (HOPE NOT!!) ;D Also, the EVA 01 clear and silver figure might be just to show you the progressing stages, no paint (clear), first coat of paint (silver) and finally the finished product etc. Are there any money that I can just bump into?

yeah I have to say the proportions are way better on this getter1 then aoshima's it may not be as "spec" accurate.... but it looks way more anime accurate

I agree, it's too bad Aoshima's 2004 Getter didn't look like that one does. So how much are these Kaiyodo gonna cost? That EVA 01 looks pretty sharp too. Speaking of EVA, that Rei figure/statue, with the clear plug suit, looks phenomenal!!!

I think the frogs your refering to are "keroro".The action figures are really amazing & come with a &*%#-load of acessories like little gokins and stuff.Im all over the new set.I think they would look cool displayed with some serious mecha as a contrast.Oh yeah thanks for the photo advice Chen,Ill post as soon as I can get my brain around it.Fabulous link, how do you find stuff like that?
